3.0 out of 5 stars Good for Individual Techiques Improvement, April 9, 2000
This review is from: Winning Basketball (Paperback)
In this book, both individual offensive and defensive fundamentals of basketball are written clearly in point form. Large Photos of college player are used to clarify the concepts; howeever, number of drills is limit. Moreover, Lacks of concepts about the basketball team work make this book only good for those player who intend to improve the personal skill but not for those who want to understand the game better.

This book is THE greatest technique and drill book that I have yet to read. I have learned so much from it and I use it when I practice every day at my house. This book is for any person dedicated to making their game better and I recommend it for anyone that wants to play to their full potential.

4.0 out of 5 stars I learned a heckuva lot, October 5, 2000
By
Jose Berlin (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Winning Basketball (Paperback)
This book is great. It reads easy and it tells you what you're doing wrong if you don't seem to play well enough.

But don't expect this book to work magic, it takes time and effort. You have to practise so much before you realise how valuable Pim's stuff is. It's funny because I play for high school basketball and I've been using this book and I see myself progress faster than my friends who didn't use the book.

It ain't because I'm taller either. Pim has these good training exercises for beginners or pros or people in between like me. If you want to be good at basketball, this book is for you.
