How to keep your composure and stay focused., November 14, 2004
This review is from: Winning Bridge Intangibles (Paperback)
Unlike the authors numerous books on Bridge technique, this book doesnt teach anything about how to play the cards.
What it does focus on is how to keep your composure during a session. What it takes to be a good partner. Not to get rattled after a few bad hands. This may all seem to be common sense, but it helps to read it again every couple of years, just to keep from developing bad habits. The presentation is 25 hands/situations where something good or bad happened and why.
If you stay calm and compete till the end your partners will respect you. There are many good tidbits here.
I give it 4 stars insted of 5 (all his books are easily 5 stars) becaus ethe material isn't as deep, and is common sense. Its short, 50 pages I think, and a quick light read.
