5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the little cuber in your life!
This is an excellent starter cube. The 2x2 is perfect for training aspiring cubers on cubing fundamentals without all the intimidation that comes with your first spin of a 3x3.

A 2x2 is challenging enough for the amateur cuber to keep him occupied, building up just enough confidence for the aspiring cuber to not be fully intimidated by the 3x3...

3.0 out of 5 stars The Junior Cube
I'm a fan of Rubik's cubes of all shapes and sizes, and can complete the 3x3x3 cube in about 2 minutes. 3.0 out of 5 stars The Junior Cube, January 20, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rubik's Junior Puzzle (Toy)
I'm a fan of Rubik's cubes of all shapes and sizes, and can complete the 3x3x3 cube in about 2 minutes. I wanted to complete my collection by buying the Pocket Cube, Rubik's Revenge, and the Professor Cube. Unfortunately, the Pocket Cube is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find in any stores, so I bought the Jr. Cube and ordered some new stickers to make it a pocket cube.

It is a great product for only $5. However, there was one side that was incredibly hard to turn, which makes my rating go from 5 to 3. I'd love to take it apart and lube it or something, but there are no websites or anything on how to take it apart safely.

The purpose of the Jr. Cube is not completely fulfilled. They say it is 'easier' than the Rubik's cube, but it is actually very hard, because I could never tell what was supposed to go where because there were only two colors. Also, that monkey is very ugly.

Overall, it's great for the cheap price it comes with, though the quality isn't the best and I hate how it doesn't just come with the classic 6-colored sides.

I didn't realize that 3 sides of this Junior Rubik's cube were the same color. I was just looking for a regular 2 x 2 Rubik's cube with 6 different colors. I didn't realize this until I opened the package. I wanted to return the product but when I considered the shipping costs and the restocking fee, it doesn't pay to return it. The description of the product should have been clearer about 3 sides being the same color.

I recommend this cube to all the kids I meet at tournaments.

My first grader loves it. The big kids have a Rubik's Cube and she has one too. But she isn't frustrated with the toy because it's easier to do.

This is a boring and ridiculous cube. For a 2x2, it only has 2 colors! There is a green side, and then all the others are pink. One side of the pink has a monkey face, and you're supposed to either solve for green, or solve for green and pink (no regard for the face), or solve for everything. But the idea just doesn't work. If you want to get a 2x2, definitely go for the rubik's ice cube. It's just like a regular rubik's cube, although the colors set-up is a little off (blue is beneath white, etc), but the ice cube is still way better than this. I just got this in the mail today, and I already sent it back for a refund. Don't get this.

I found that the little kids like the Rubik's cube too but it is too big for their small hands and that they could never accomplish much. This is smaller and just the right size of sides. It is cute.

I bought this for my 4-year old after he played with the regular rubik's cube at our neighbor's house. He plays with it for a few minutes here and there, but I'm the one that is hooked on it. I've never been able to figure out the original, and I can't figure this one out either, but it is much easier than the original. Only two sides to solve, instead of 6. Sounds easy, but not for me! Very enjoyable, though. Definitely recommend it, for adults and kids.

I bought this for my 5 year old grandson. His 30 year old father spent the most time with it. I expected it to be very easy because of the picture, and being able to match it, but it's more difficult than I thought. Five may be too young to have the patience to sit and work on it - more the 8-11 year range?

My daughter loves this cube (2x2x2) when she want to show how smart she was (mess it up and return by reversing it).

When she is a year or two older, I will show her how to solve it.

Bought this one for my niece - going to be traveling over the summer and thought this would be a great gift for her to take in the car. She loved it - got one for her big bro too - and they both sat together to do them. Perfect thing for a little sibling to have along with the bigger sibling to have and do together!
