Water Works is a great game for the whole family. The object of Water Works is to lay down a series of pipe cards in order to create a leak-free pipeline before your opponent does the same. You can hinder your opponents' progress by sabotaging their pipes with leaks or caps, and you must fix any leaks they "spring" on you. It is not an extremely complex game, but it is a lot of fun. Although though the stated age recommendation is 8 to adult, my five-year old beat me with no problem the first time we played. This version comes with a bathtub-shaped discard tray and small metal wrenches you may use to fix leaky pipes. Much nicer than the version I remember as a child.

An old favorite from when my kids were young - easily learned, but challenging as strategies must be developed. Plenty of stimulus for the agressive-minded who like to thwart their opponents. Fun for adults as well as children.

This set has the metal wrenches and the plastic discard tub we had in the set I grew up with. My mother, sister and I have all bought sets since finding this again and have gotten lots of friends and family hooked on the game. A maximum of four players can play at a time, but if we have more around the table, we'll just play in four teams. It's a good game for adults and kids to play together as, once they know the rules, it's an even competition.
