This book is amazing and wonderful and after I read these books they inspired me to always enjoy life's every moment. I think these books are awesome and I even do gymnastics and a reason I read these books was because by bff's aunt Alicia Thompson wrote the books. I love these books there so wonderful funny enjoyable cute and most of all really good. I flipped through the whole series in a week.

My daughter received these books and read them very quickly. She is anxious for the next two to get here (we have already pre-ordered!). The books definitely made her get excited about gymnastics, and I am looking forward to watching the Olympics with her and tying it back to these books. I also love that we could talk about how hard people really work to be so good at their sports. I would highly recommend these!

I am several years over 10 years old (but I am under 30!) but as a lover of gymnastics and having been a fan of Dominique, I purchased this book and Balancing Act as well. I finished reading both of the books and enjoyed them a lot. It is a good inside look at training for gymnastics but also real life struggles girls face every day in the gym and out. If you are a gymnastics fan, you will enjoy this book. It is longish but easy to read and with the great story will be easy to plow right through it! Can hardly wait for the next two!

I am eight and I loved this book because it was about gymnastics and I love that sport. It was about overcoming difficulty in friendship.

This is an awesome book to get if you love reading because it has a lot of description in it and I am a gymnast so I understood most of the skills but if you don't there is a glossary in the back that tells you what the skill is:)

My daughter loved Balancing Act and Winning Team so much that she read them both in a few days and is now devouring Unexpected Twist. I was not swayed by naysayers whose reviews found too little of this or that. The culture of girls' gymnastics and the love of the sport itself is enough to make my daughter, once a reluctant reader, into an avid reader. Hmm, as a teacher for many years, I know this is the affective outcome we all want for our children: to love reading. My daughter was very bored with reading, despite her superior language and reading skills. What is most important to her is that the content reflect a world she wants to be a part of. As a former gymnast myself, I love reading along with her on our Kindle HDX. The Kindle HDX is dynamic (push to find vocabulary definitions) and alluring enough to draw her in daily.

My granddaughter, age 10, chose this book while surfing for gymnastics related items. She loved the book, primarily because, as a gymnast, she could really relate to the story. Now we are reading the second book in the series to see what happens to the girls next...
