The Dollar of 1974 commemorates the Centennial of the City of Winnipeg, with its design of old and new in each of the 2 number 0 of 100 there is a magical story. There is a variety which shows an extra yoke in the empty space above the oxen.
Patrick Brindley created this design from a drawing by Paul Pederson to commemorate the centennial of the city of Winnipeg. Inside the two zeroes of 100 are images of Winnipeg's Main street in 1874 (left) and 1974 (right).
