This product went together very easily. It is very sturdy. I have a huge dictionary and a shelf full of books on it, with no wobble or tipping.

Reasons I bought this product:
1. Does not 'take over' a smaller room like a tall bookcase
2. Slanted shelving makes it easy to see spine of item
3. Very easy for 1 person to put together (can be done in 15 min)
4. Additional storage on top shelf
5. Neutral coloring
6. Small footprint
7. Very sturdy; does not wobble; is not off balance when full

Not so great:
1. Downward slanting shelves won't accommodate books taller than about 10.5 inches upright
2. Open back does not allow you to lay anything flat on top of anything upright (will slide off the back)

I bought 4 of these bad boys from Amazon. Tops hold photos, a flat panel 26 in tv, 2 lamps, 4 remotes, telephone and PC speakers. Shelves hold DVDs, books, magazines and a large print King James Bible in a zippered cover.

All solid wood structure-no particle board. Very easy to assemble. Planned on placing the piece in a closet but it's just too nice an item not to have out in the open. As others have written; books larger than 10" or so will normaly not fit either shelf but bottom shelf appears to be slightly more accomodating than upper. I would buy this product again.

This is a great little addition to my kitchen. It is enough space for my small cookbooks. Note that only books with a height of 10" or smaller will fit into the slanted shelves, but that's not a problem because you can put larger books displayed face up on the bottom shelf, which is nice as well. The top counter is a perfect spot for displaying my mini tea collection. It is a simple bookcase, very cozy looking. It took about an hour to put together. The only thing to make this perfect would be if there were some stickers to cover the visible screws on the sides. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this item.

The wood is very solid and strong, and looks great (not cheap at all). My only slight complaint is that, as other reviewers mentioned, the slanted nature of the shelves is better for small to mid-sized books (thick hardcovers don't look good, and large books just don't fit at all). Also, look carefully at the dimensions - this shelf was much shorter than I imagined!

A sleek, beautiful, sturdy bookshelf, and easy to put together. I needed it for my collection of dictionaries for translating - to reach easily from where I sit at my desk. I like the tilt because the spines are so easy to read from where I sit. Unfortunately, several of my dictionaries are 10" tall and cannot be slid into the shelf. Not for anything over 9.5" tall at the spine.

I was very impressed with this item. It was extremely easy to assemble, it is sturdy, and made a great gift for my dad.

Searching on Amazon for a foldable bookcase led us to dozens of possibilities. This bookcase was smack in the middle of all the foldable bookcases available. It had some of the best reviews and the price was right. It is solid wood, easy to assemble, and very sturdy. However, we go to dozens of conferences where we sell books. We were looking for foldable, sturdy bookcases that we could easily transport with us. We were disappointed that these bookcases are not the foldable kind. We kept it anyway for its quality.

We bought this for my 2.5 years son. We put the books he likes the most on the shelf and it's just working very well. It's easy and convenient for him to pull the book out and put it back after reading. It's the right height and size for him. The shelf looks beautiful too, good enough for the price. The only problem is it can't hold very wide or tall books, but it's in my expectation by reading the reviews before buying.
