This product is built well, solid, and good looking. It's easy to put together and it looks nice. I decided to sand it and stain it a color I like more but I think it looked good already. Actually I just wanted it to match my other furniture better. In my opninin as long as you put it together right, it will last forever. It also fits the wine bottles nicely with a tilt forward for keeping fine wines. It looks especially nice full of bottles. It's not fancy but it completely satisfies the need to store your bottles proper and saves a lot of room. Also, the deal I got was amazing since I saw similar racks for double the price!

For the price, it would be hard to beat this wine bottle rack. It came well-packaged and all the parts were there and undamaged. The rack is constucted of real wood (I believe beedhwood), with a natural color that has a satin finish. If you were planning on painting it another color or staining it then buy something else, as you would have to sand all the pieces first. It took about 1/2 hour to assemble and all the pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly. This is no small matter if you've ever bought unassembled furniture that was badly pre-drilled. Once assembled, the rack was very stable even after I filled every slot with a wine bottle. The table top looks nice if you want to put something decorative on top. The only reason I didn't give this rack five stars is the the screws used to hold it together have hex wrench heads. The screws are plenty large and well made, but the hex indent on the screw heads requires a small diameter hex wrench, which was supplied. Problem is, the small diameter of the wrench made it very difficult to get enough torgue to properly tighten the screws. Also the screw heads could be easily stripped. The hex wrench supplied with the kit was cheap and became rounded on the first screw. This was no problem for me as I just got my power drill with a good hex-head and finished the job. A less handy person might have some issues. One last thing: If you do use a power drill, be careful not to over-torgue and strip the threading into the wood. That issue aside, I would not hestitate to buy another of these racks.

this is a simple well made wine rack that is nice looking and sturdy.
The price is right for a solid wood piece of furniture.
Assembly is easy. I took a chance and did not use the glue provided.
Its not deep and fit under my bar nicely.
The finish is nice and wood grain is pleasant.
We currently have it half full and the bottles nest neatly.

I purchased two of these for my father last year during Christmas. I probly spend about 20 minutes putting both together with an Allen wrench (drill bit with allen attachment takes half the time or less). They are sturdy enough, look good enough and hold plenty of bottles. My father liked them so much he bought two more.

I purchased this to augment a pair of Winsome Wood 24-Bottle Beechwood Wine Rack/Glass Holder that had quickly filled with bottles. Aesthetically this did not quite fit in due to color variations and height, but it is still a great rack for a great price.

Pluses include: attractive, sturdy and stable, and very small footprint. As you can see from my customer-supplied image and those uploaded by others this rack takes up very little floor space.

The only negative is it will not hold a bottle over 750ml. This is not a problem for me, but if you are planning to store 1 or 1.5 liter bottles in it you will be disappointed.

Assembly was a breeze for me, but this is not the first one I've assembled. If you have a helper to hold one section steady while inserting the short pieces that connect and brace the main assemblies you will have it together in less than ten minutes. Here is a tip: Before assembling take the time to wipe each piece of this rack down with Old English® Furniture Polish: Scratch Cover for Light Wood and let them thoroughly dry before assembling. You will thank yourself later. This step makes all of the difference between this being a wood wine storage unit and an attractive piece of furniture to display your collection.

You cannot go wrong if you want a compact, attractive rack to store 750ml or smaller bottles of wine. If you absolutely need a rack that can store larger bottles check the other model I mentioned at the beginning of this review. They will definitely do the job. I also own two of those and highly recommend them as well.

Winsome is a Good Name for the company which imports this wine rack.
YOU WINSOME AND YOU LOSE SOME !
We broke a bottle loading this rack the day it arrived.

Do not attempt to load anything but Bordeaux shaped bottles into this rack !
Burgundy style bottles will slide right out and crash to the floor!
The sloping neck and shoulders allow these bottles to slide forward and off the back rack.
See [...] for more on bottle shapes -
I suggest the owners of this company perhaps might consider learning a bit more from wiki also.
I thought they were smarter in Woodinville, these days

The rack looks nice, assembles easily, and is well finished but is another example of
a poorly designed product with a major flaw. Also the photo makes it look like it will hold
1.75 L bottles on the top row but, sadly, that is also deceiving.
