this is a simple well made wine rack that is nice looking and sturdy.
The price is right for a solid wood piece of furniture.
Assembly is easy. I took a chance and did not use the glue provided.
Its not deep and fit under my bar nicely.
The finish is nice and wood grain is pleasant.
We currently have it half full and the bottles nest neatly.

This product is built well, solid, and good looking. It's easy to put together and it looks nice. I decided to sand it and stain it a color I like more but I think it looked good already. Actually I just wanted it to match my other furniture better. In my opninin as long as you put it together right, it will last forever. It also fits the wine bottles nicely with a tilt forward for keeping fine wines. It looks especially nice full of bottles. It's not fancy but it completely satisfies the need to store your bottles proper and saves a lot of room. Also, the deal I got was amazing since I saw similar racks for double the price!

I purchased two of these for my father last year during Christmas. I probly spend about 20 minutes putting both together with an Allen wrench (drill bit with allen attachment takes half the time or less). They are sturdy enough, look good enough and hold plenty of bottles. My father liked them so much he bought two more.

Although it is easy to put together, the wood is damaged & warped, leaving the wine rack less than sturdy.

Update - 1/20/09 : Sent Winsome the parts request form to replace the warped wood on 12/31/08. Rec'd the new parts on 1/16/09. This increased stability to an acceptable level for the price. Based on finished product, customer service turn-around time, price, and overall experience, I would increase my rating from 2.0 stars to 3.5 stars.

For the price, I was expecting some unfinished pine and some cheap screws and a tough time to fit it together. I was surprised at the quality of the finish of the wood - very smooth and with a light varnish. Everything came well packed, easy to open and super easy to put together. Screws are hex headed and the box includes a cheap but adequate hex wrench. The box even includes little wood plugs to fill the pockets drilled for the screws. They don't entirely match the rest of the wood, but a much better and neater alternative to none.
A bottle of beer and 15 mins later, and my rack was filled (well a half anyhow) with Walla Walla wine bottles. The bottle stance is slightly neck down.
All in all, this was just right for the job I needed - hidden away cheaply in my MIL's basement, but neat enough that she won't complain about it when she next ventured down there.

I'm not sure if I received a bum unit, but the edges that hold the top of the wine rack to the bottom were basically stripped and falling off when I opened the box. I had to find 4 slightly larger screws to hold it together and assemble it.

Once assembled this is an OK wine rack, though definitely not a high end, display item you would want in a nice cellar, living room etc. I'll put it in my closet to house any extra bottles of wine...simple storage at best. IKEA could do better than this...and probably does.

Personally I would not order it looking back, but the question arises, do you go through the hassle of returning it, or just fix it.

Got my wine rack yesterday. I got home at about 9:30pm and couldn't wait to put it together so I did :) I had it up and stocked within the hour! With a bit of muscle power, I got it pieced and set up pretty quickly. My only complaint is the Allen wrench that comes with the hardware wasn't so great so I had to use my own but I love it! It's sturdy and beautiful. Excited to add another case of wine to it :)

Very easy to assemble and looks great. I used some wood glue during assembly for added strength and stability, but I do that for everything I put together. I would recommend this product.

This rack is easy to build and sturdy. The look of it is modern and clean. It fits in small spaces and the wood top is great for extra storage. I added sliders on the feet for easier moving on carpet but otherwise it is a great and value-priced rack. Definitely an improvement over my old "rack" which consisted of cardboard wine cases.
