I was a little leery about ordering this bookcase as the other review said it was wobbly. But it exactly fit in the small area I needed - 25 inches, so I ordered it anyway. Also, it was on sale on the Friday specials, so the price was very reasonable. I am so glad I purchased this item as it is fantastic! Very well built, does not wobble at all, the finish on it is beautiful with no flaws - a nice espresso dark color. I even bought the two baskets that fit on the bottom shelf, and it makes for a beautiful bookshelf unit. Don't hesitate to purchase it if you are looking for a small bookcase for a small area. You will be very happy with how well built this book case is.

Loved the look of this but once it arrived and we assembled it, it's not very sturdy (wobbles). So--nice for the price...but not a solid piece of furniture, and smaller than I expected (exact same item is listed at Target but with larger dimensions).

this is an amazing looking bookcase. it is very sturdy, the wood finish is nice, it is heavy wood, and is put together easily. i highly recommend it.

I bought this for a good price on sale. It was missing a piece and I had to send away for the piece. It took quite a while for the piece to arrive and although it was free apparently I was meant to send in my proof of purchase to get the piece for free (which wasn't in the instructions and may have been why it took so long).

It was easy to put together myself and it didn't take much time. I was disappointed that one of the shelves had some faults in the finishing. Once together the bookshelf looks nice from a distance, I like the color of the finish. However, up close I don't think that it looks like a great quality piece. It's not terribly sturdy, it does wobble a bit when it's empty. I would not load it up with textbooks, but it's not too flimsy either. The shelves are small and don't hold much, I'm unable to put a few of my taller books on them. All considered it's probably better than other options in the same price range. I am considering buying another one, but mainly so that it can match the one I already have.

I bought this 3 shelf unit along with the 4 shelf unit and love them! I am using them as storage in my bedroom and not only was it easy to assemble (within 30 to 45 minutes by myself) but is very nice and the wood is great and blends in well with my existing furniture! The shipping was so quick and now I am just enjoying the organization this unit has given me! Love it. It is a great size without taking up alot of space.

This bookcase was absolutely perfect for what I needed!!! My only issue was with assembly. Some parts of the wood were tough to get the screws in and when I had difficulty the little wrench they sent would strip the head of the screw, making it nearly impossible to work it in. Once assembled, though, the bookshelf passes all of my expectations. The wood is beautiful, it's sturdy, and it's the perfect size. I couldn't be more happy with it. If I need more space I definitely plan to buy another one.

I purchased this bookcase based on the reviews I read. I was very disappointed. It is made cheaply, the shelves are not level and the finish is very poor. It does fit into the space I have and with books on it is serves the purpose, but I would not purchase this item again.

I was excited about buying a small bookshelf for my spare bedroom. I was about to screw on the other side, but UH OH! My bookshelf came with 2 right panels. Therefore, the rear cross bars won't fit in right. I have to ask Winsome for a replacement piece, which will hopefully come in 2 weeks. If you have the money, splurge for a better bookcase - it will save you time, which is money in my opinion.

The shelf arrived fast and was well packaged. The color is very pretty - very dark. But, the overall construction is poor. The wood itself is laminated/pieced and many pieces were either warped, cut too short, or shaped wrong. One side (for example) has a curved end instead of a square one.

We made it work because it fit so well into the odd space in our kitchen for which it was needed, but we do not feel that we got our money's worth. It looks like something you'd pay $40-$50 for at one of those import places.

We also bought the overpriced set of 3 baskets to go on the shelves. They are not level and the bottoms are scratchy - I will have to put felt on them or just let them make the shelves that much more shabby.

Assembly was easy, except for the warping. The top was .5" too short and the sides were warped, resulting in a difficult and awkward assembly. But, like I said, it fit our needs so we are keeping it, but I do wish it was more elegant and better made for the money.

I liked the design, the color and the fact that it is in wood. But the piece I got was defective and not worth the price. I had one short side defective at the bottom as if it has been eaten away, and it was chipped at several places.

It will be too much trouble to wrap it up again, and ship it back so I may keep it. But not too happy :(
