First, I want to say that this barstool is very attractive. Being full wood, it just looks nice - the color, and the construction feels very solid. The swivel option adds a bit to the stool if you need such a feature (which I didn't).

The reason why I rated this 4, instead of 5 stars is the following:
1) The shipping is pretty rough with these stools. I found some bumps and buises on mine. Nothing worth returning, but chipped wood wasn't what I was hoping to get to when I opened this up.
2) The seat pad isn't as comfortable as it could be. You won't want to be sitting on this for hours at a time - but overall it's not bad for the money. The seat is very wide, though...fits the butt quite well.

I'm unsure of if there are better stools for the price..but after hours of searching through Amazon, I was confident that these stools would be the best for the money. I still stand by that, even with the chip in my stool leg.

This was a great surprise. First of all they were delivered on time with no hastle. Then, they turned out to be one piece! No assembly, no cheep wood, no hastle. They are wonderful and quite sturdy, beautiful as well. We like them very much and they sat well in our kitchen and they fit well with my family room furniture. A deal not to be missed at this great price...

These are decent stools that look very nice for the price. The packaging was a little weak and one stool had a chip out of it as a result.

First let me say I like the style, appearance, and features of the stools. We ordered four of them for the bar between the kitchen and living room and they definitely compliment the decor. The problem stems from the quality of the materials. I can live with the vinyl seats (easy to clean and maintain, even if they stretch a bit and aren't necessarily attached securely enough). What I can't deal with is the poor quality of the wood. When we received our order, one stool leg was broken at a knot. When we got our replacement order, one of the legs on one of the replacements (had to get two) was split right out of the box (again where there was a knot in the leg). No problem - I sent back the two broken stools and kept the four good ones. Now (after about 10-12 weeks of occasional use by relatively sober, small-to-average sized adults), the foot has split on one of the stools. Too late to send it back - hope the woodworkers glue will keep it together.

Bottom line: I don't recommend buying any product with a 50% failure rate.

Love the bar stools. My husband was surprised how sturdy they are for the price. They arrived without scratches or chips. No problem in shipping. They work for us!!

Orginally my wife and I bought two of these from a neigbor that was moving and have liked them very much. I noticed at parties I needed more and searched Amazon for similar stools because there was no manufacturer name on stools. To my pleasant surprise Amazon had the exact same kind as we had for the right price!
Two days later they were at our door and we are pleased. They are not restaurant grade furniture, but will stand up well to moderate home use. Our originals still look new and are not falling apart after 3 years. (I currently weigh about a deuce and an 1/8 and they hold me just fine)

I received two of these stools for christmas and I liked them so much I bought 2 more. Good quality bar stools. They weren't packaged very well and one has a small chip on the leg but other than that these are very good. I would definately recommend these.

they arrived broken... nothing more to say! box too thin, just the hassle to find a stool, buy, open the box (that came with a spider by the way), close it, send it back.

These stools were purchased as a Christmas gift for my son and his wife. They arrived in excellent condition, and their quality seems superb, especially considering the price. They are very nice-looking, and I would heartily recommend them to anyone looking for stools such as these.

I bought one set of these stools about 6 months ago, and another set recently. They come fully assembled, which is really fantastic. I HATE assembling furniture, and it's so nice that you just have to take these stools out of the box and you're done. They are packaged really well and come in good condition. They look very nice/not cheap, but they are a reasonable price ($99 for a pair). The one thing that I don't like about these stools is that the wood tends to chip at the very bottom of the stool legs. That's kind of a drag, but a little wood glue fixes that. All in all, very satisfied with this purchase.
