For what you get, it's over priced.

The top shelf could only be secured with 3 screws, because one bolt counter sunk was not deep enough by a 1/4 inch.

The bolt did not reach the shelf to be tightened.

Also the color of the item (Espresso) as depicted on the website, is not even close to what you get. It is very much darker, almost black!

I didn't have any of the problems that others have reported. The finish on all the wood was even and without blemish. It was very easy to put them together. I'm actually using them as end tables on either side of my couch. They are a bit taller than my couch, but that actually works out perfectly for reading lamps. They are very sturdy and stable. I also ordered a matching bookcase and couldn't be happier with all three pieces. I would definitely purchase this product again.

This arrived quickly and was really easy to assemble. I needed a short, little shelf for a small bathroom and this really did the trick. The only problem is that the pieces don't all fit together flush. There are very small gaps where some of the pieces meet, but it doesn't bother me too much.

Was pleasantly surprised that the quality was quite decent and it was wood! Only disappointment was that the top was slightly warped, so a front corner couldn't and didn't snug down as tightly as could/should have. I'd buy more and again, as long as it was through Amazon and free shipping. Arrived quickly.

I bought this shelf to use as a nightstand. Our bedroom is very small and our bed is low, so I needed something to fit in a small corner that wouldn't be too high to reach while lying in bed. This shelf was perfect. It seems sturdy enough (it's a nightstand, so it's not like it sees a lot of action) and it's holding up well. It looks good, too. I don't have any issues with the quality or appearance of mine. It is a VERY dark brown.

the shelf fit so well in the space that we wanted, it is well built and looks really nice. The service was great and we enjoyed dealing with them.

This was purchased as a gift. The finish of the two like items were uniform in color and finish. They were relatively easy to assemble. The dimensions of the product were accurate. They could be less expensive to warrant a five star rating.

The Winsome Wood Shelf is cheaply made and serviceable but the lack of quality control is obvious in the gaps and ill fitting parts which cannot be easily overcome by even the most expert construction. Not something I would purchase again. I'd have done better for the money at a thrift store.

The box came with no assembly screws or nuts. It would seem quality control is non-existent with this manufacturer. There were no numbers to call for parts replacement either. Rather than repackaging all the pieces together and return to Amazon for a replacement, I decided to buy the screws (8 of them) from the local Home Depot. Took a couple of tries before I bought the right size and length screws. It was a total hassle, and I wouldn't dare buy anything from this company Winsome again.

The top does not fit properly

When you are building your wood shelf, always remember not screw the screws too tight because it will become uneven on the top.

Also when you have books in the shelves, it becomes alot steadier because of the weight

All in all, I would RECOMMEND it!
