The table came to us fine, with no nicks or scratches at all. It's the perfect size for a not large living room, which is what we have. The kids have scratched it up a little however it doesn't show as much because it's black.

I'm really happy with this table. Living in a city row-home means searching for items to work well in limited space. It seems the usual furniture retailers only carry massive coffee tables that don't work in my 14'x20' room. Even after some trial & error with a few IKEA tables, I found this one to be just the perfect size.
After reading all of the reviews on here, I was a little worried about this table's quality - like, it showing up with missing paint and scratches, or made of cheap, flimsy material, but that wasn't the case. Though there is a *very* tiny paint scuff on an edge of a leg, it's very fixable with a small dab of black paint - I'm really critical & hate having to fix things that I've just bought, so I can't stress enough how extremely minor this mark was. Also the table was heavier than I expected, and once assembled, is rather sturdy. Of course, time will tell how long this table will last, but with it just out of the box, I'm really rather pleased.

Had an old marble and glass coffee table in here, and it was just too big for the area and a pain to move. This one is just the right size. Has plenty of drawer space for remotes and the like. And the bottom shelf is great for magazines and whatever book your are currently reading. No water marks (I try to make sure everyone uses coasters but sometimes it gets forgotten). Was easy to assemble. And is light enough that it is easy to move, so for example when replacing with the ottoman. Only reason I did 3 stars is there are some marks on the surface. Couple of lines that work their way across the top. I don't know how these happened. They are indented, the surface is not scratched which is good, but the wood is apparently soft enough that whatever got sat on top of it left impressions.

So was a great addition to my living room, easy assembly, looks great with my decor, but the wood on the top was a little soft for my liking. Would by it again though.

This is a good, solid table with real wood, but assembly is a pain. The top part is fully assembled, but putting on the legs is a finger-crunching ordeal that involves manually tightening bolts in a small, recessed space. Before installing the legs, be sure that the holes for the cams that hold the lower piece are facing in the right direction. The diagram and instructions do not help, and you may (as we did) find yourself removing and repositioning two of the legs. Fastening the lower piece involves tightening cam screws. It helps if the cam holes are drilled the right size; in our version, none were. Two were too large, and two were too tight (the cams had to be hammered in). This part of the installation is a two-person job because someone else must hold the main piece while the first two cams are tightened. We've assembled several pieces of prefab furniture with many more separate parts than this has, and this was one of the most difficult projects we've had.

ok so it had some pretty bad reviews but they dated all the way back to 2008 and 2009 and since it's 2011 the company must have improved dramatically .. since we LOVE this little coffee table .. i bought it prior to reading the reviews which i seldom do .. but this time it paid off ...the table came nearly complete which was a REALLY nice surprise .. usually things like this come in a million pieces and since i just finished putting together a tv stand that was simple to put together but did in fact have a million pieces .. this was a very nice surprise indeed .. the drawers are wonderful and hold all of my papers that i need asap with out the clutters .. the only thing to really put together was to attach the legs and the bottom shelf ..super easy BUT should have someone with smaller hands do it since it's a lil hard to reach to the bottom of the legs .it's nice and heavy and even solid wood .. as mentioned before im not a real big fan of black furniture since it looks very IKEAish and cheap .. however this table does not ... the price is just right. arrived all in one piece no scratches nothing missing which was also nice of course ... so yes i would tell anyone to buy this table since it's not too big and looks wonderful and is holding up quite nice ...

I got this coffee table a few years ago and loved it. Like other people have said it is a pain to put together but it's hard to get certain screws in. My biggest complaint is that I think a coffee table should last more than a couple of years. The paint job didn't even hold up a year. There are big junks of wood missing. A little excessive for everyday wear and tear. The drawers are falling apart and the bottom shelf broke off a year or two ago. My advice is not to buy this thinking it will be around for a long time.

This small table looks fairly nice and was easy enough to assemble. The small space around the legs accessed to assemble the legs is a little troublesome though. The biggest problem I have with this table is how easily scratched the surface is. It arrived with a small dent in the top and just a little pressure will create a scratch so I've already had to mend a few nicks with a sharpie marker. In the end, this table is worth maybe 75$ but certainly not the 145.00 I got it for.

The table is heavy with 2 nice drawers. It was simple to put together: about 30 minutes. The wrong instructions were included with the box but we were able to figure it out. The table is pretty small, but it fits our needs. Good place to hide remotes and other stuff and bottom shelf holds books and magazines. It really looks nice in our frontroom. We've had this table for over a year now, and it's held up nicely. However, the black coloring is chipping off on the edges where the table has been nicked or hit with a vacuum. Dark furniture polish won't restore the color so I've been trying black permanent pen markers.

I read all the reviews, mostly good, but some negative and I decided not to buy. Then I rethought "what do you want for a hundred and a quarter", so I bought it.

Son's girlfriend put it together in a half hour. It is smallish, but exactly as advertised. My one complaint is the suface finish is inadequate (thin, probably sprayed on), but I bought a can of satin finish black, rolled it on the top surface only. Looks much better, but will put another coat on tomorrow night and I think I'll be happy.

Nice table for the money.

I like the table a lot. It's just what I expected it to be. My problem is with the paint. I ordered black, what I got was antique black. Apparently that means black but with a not so great paint job. I've decided to keep it and repaint it to match some speakers in the room, so in my case it will actually work out better, but be warned.
