This item was received in a timely manner and when fully constructed, looks beautiful. The French doors give this wine cabinet an elegant. The color has a little bit of a reddish tint, but it still looks great. The assembly was not too difficult, but the package was missing a few key parts that were delivered later.

Delivery was quicker than expected. Product was exactly as described, beautiful wood, dark finish. Easily fits 8-9 inch wine glasses in top, with room for short glasses underneath. Very sturdy - an excellent addition to our home.

Poorly constructed. I suspected a problem from the get-go when the first two pages of the assembly instruction guide are to replace missing or broken parts. Unit arrived with a broken base shelf. Two subsequent requests to replace the shelf resulted in a wrong size shelf shipped on the first attempt. On the second go around, the right size shelf was shipped but with holes that did not line up with the other cabinet components.

I resolved the matter by applying some moderate wood working skills to correct the mistakes made on the replacement part.

Customer service was friendly and quick to expedite the replacements. The actual product is typical of off shore production. I would have gladly paid more for a quality product made in the USA.

I wish all products advertised would be required to display the country of origin.

If it wasn't for the fact that the product looks great when assembled, I would have crucified this item. As far as the assemble goes, the instructions are terrible, the actual assembly is very awkward and very cheap. The company doesn't even bother to pre tap screw holes on back board. The final frustration came when I put the glass doors on and the hinges didn't sit flush. If it wasn't such a big item, I definitely would have returned it. However it is a nice looking product, I will say that. Given the price you do get what you pay for.

This Winsome Wood Wine Cabinet looked good in the catalogs and the price seemed pretty good. However, I'm not completely satisfied with the whole purchase experience.

I had ordered this item as a gift, but it was back-logged after the transaction and paid for it (few days later). Then it showed up on my door step with packaging box ripped open (poor design of box or bad tape??).

Finally, when I go to assemble it there were missing parts and the door hinge of the 2 French Door panels didn't align. I did some workaround to get it assembled anyway and got it to work. (it was more efforts and trouble for me to return it than to fix it). Oh, and the instructions weren't exactly clear either.

My suggestion for Amazon and supplier is to 1) provide better inventory tracking and online status 2) improve on the packaging 3) better quality control for all parts in the packaging and 4) better and clearer instructions.

Really disappointed with the quality! Hard to put together because things don't match up like they are supposed to and it's still rickety when it's done. Would send it back but I would have to take it apart and try to repack it. Then because I bought it early and saved it for Christmas, it is past the return time. So, I'm stuck with an expensive piece of crap.

It is terribly cheap. Took forever to put together because the holes don't match up. Legs were crooked. My husband and I had to put a piece of wood under one leg just to make it sit even. Doors are crooked. However, it looks great. I get lots of compliments on it and it is very nice looking but what a piece of crap in terms of quality. Therefore, very overpriced!

This is a nice piece that was fairly simple to put together. It was a little tricky putting in the screws once the wine rack part was in place, but it was doable. My only complaint is that one of the doors doesn't stay fully closed, but I think I can fix that by pulling the magnet forward a little. There were very few scratches when it arrives and it looks really nice once set up.

I must say the product looks great once assembled. I would have given the product 5 starts had the assembly not been so difficult. I had read other reviews that noted this but forged ahead, they were all correct. Instructions are pictures, few words, hinges had to be moved as the right door wouldn't clear the top. Had to move the shelves as they are not clearly labeled and we mixed them up; it DOES make a difference. Overall beautiful, I would buy the product again but know more than an hour needed for assembly.

Winsome Wood claims on their website that they are a "manufacturer and distributor of quality lifestyle furniture for the home." Don't believe it! This is the worst piece of furniture I've ever bought. Not only was one of the shelves broken when I pulled it out of the box, but all of the pieces had spots where the stain was transparent or rubbed off. The pieces don't fit together well, and there are gaps between the sides of the cabinet and the shelves. Also--and this is almost laughable--there are two extra holes on the middle shelf that were apparently drilled in error for the cabinet latches, then "fixed" with wood filler. (See my pics.)

I decided to keep the cabinet only because it fits perfectly in a niche in my home, and most of the flaws are not visible from the front. I used a furniture marker to fill in some of the bad spots on the doors, and repaired the broken shelf with some wood glue and wood filler. I also had to add some corner braces to stabilize the bottom shelf.


It's just not worth $149, maybe it's worth $20 at a garage sale. Spend a little more and buy something nice.
