I was a little skeptical when I read some of the reviews but since this cart fit my needs perfectly and I loved the idea that it's collapsible I figured I'd try it. It arrived in perfect condition - maybe they improved the packaging - and I had it assembled in 10 minutes. All you have to do is screw the top on with the enclosed bolts and hex key and pop the casters in.

For this price I was surprised to see that it is solid wood - not veneer or flake board. The casters roll well on my carpet and it holds a good amount of weight. I'm very happy !

About a week ago I wrote a one star review of this cart, and I still stand by it since my review accurately described the item I had received.

However...
I had emailed Amazon because there was no way to contact the seller, which I felt wasn't a fair way to do business.
Within two hours I had received an apology from Amazon, and instructions to leave the damaged cart on my porch. Two days later UPS picked it up, on the seller's dime, and yesterday I received a replacement cart.

This new cart is everything the first one wasn't. It had all the parts and was well constructed. After I assembled it (5 minutes) I leaned my full weight on it (135 LB) and could feel how stable it was.

I also like the looks of the cart. The wood has a light, natural tone which goes well with the cart's simple lines. It's a piece of furniture you can add to a room without making the room seem cluttered.

All in all, all ended well.

Old one star review:
Packaging:
The metal pegs that go into the hinges were just rolling free in the box, and one was missing. It must have just fallen out of the box in transit. The box was poorly sealed.

Construction:
The corner of one leg (where the castor goes in) was broken off and reglued unevenly. The brackets that the middle shelf rests on were attatched unevenly so that the middle shelf sits at an angle. The legs are uneven, so if you put the slightest amount of weight on it the whole thing wobbles back and forth.

Looks:
There was a long scratch on the table top. I could have lived with it, if the item wasn't so poorly constructed.

Contacting seller:
Despite all my looking, I could not find a way to contact the seller.

GOOD NEWS first: The delivery was on time and it arrived undamaged.

BAD NEWS #1: The "foldable" nature of this product, however, makes it too flimsy to use-- the shelves and wheels were too loose to be stable. The whole thing was wobbly when finished, which was too bad because the actual wood was good quality. Poorly conceived - it would have to go back.

BAD NEWS #2: I packed it back up to return it, but then I read the fine print on the return instructions in the box. I'd have to pay for shipping BOTH directions (it's heavy!).

BAD NEWS #3: On top of it all, I'd have to pay a 20% "re-stocking fee". I was already out of pocket $90 for a $60 item - now these additional fees would mean I'd only be refunded $19 of my $90! (That's $71 in "fees" for a $60 item!)

BAD NEWS #4: After wasting $71 on fees for an item so flimsy and unusable, I STILL have no printer stand and am back where I started from!

This could have been a nice product. I must have got the one made on Friday. Probably why it was on sale. Top is not square to base. Base is not square. One side's glue joints are cracked and wobble. Bottom shelf is not level, won't lay on catches, and one of it's hinges is crooked. Screws put into hinges at an angle. Screw missing out of one catch and wood scuffed up from the catch moving around. I found the screw in the box at least, but the hole is stripped. Scuffed wood finish all around. When all together, it is not very stable. I would never put anything of value on it. I would send it back, but it would cost too much. Last time for Winsome for me.

Had a crack in wood on the top when it arrived. I figured I'd live with it rather than go through the bother of reboxing it and hauling it to the post office. The first time I moved it (gently) it completely came unglued and collapsed. Should be able to roll a rolling cart! I now have an expensive pile of firewood - too bad I don't have a fireplace.

I needed a stand for my two scanners. This stand (cart) being able to fold up looked perfect. After reading the reviews about quality I had mixed feeling, balancing the pros / cons, I decided to take a chance. I have Amazon Prime so for $3.99 I received this the next day.

Out of the box it looked promising. It is made of solid wood pieces. After attaching the top, I noticed that the cart was very unsteady w/o the shelf installed. Installing the shelf which should have provided structure didn't. The mounting method itself negates the concept of just folding the thing up as you are now stuck with having to store not just the basic cart but the detachable shelf also.

The cart frame was not correctly made (not square) so the detachable shelf would not line up to the cart frame. After bending the steel brackets to line up to the shelve to hold the shelf, the whole unit was a bit sturdier but not much. I placed several books on the shelf and several coffee table books on the top shelf to simulate the size and weight of my film and flatbed scanner. The cart was so unstable that I realized that due to the poor workmanship of the cart frame this was not fixable.

While moving the cart less then 10' with the books on board the cart came apart and books fell to the ground. When I said it came apart I meant that literally. The glue that held the wooden uprights that the wheels connect to failed and the cart collapsed in several pieces! I received a RMA from Amazon, UPS is due to pick up the pieces which was lot of work to reassemble and repack.

Again, I thought that this poor quality might be the exception, my return required that I receive a replacement so I thought I would try again.
