After reading the previous review by Andrew, I thought that perhaps they had made a mistake when shipping the chairs to him. So, I decided to take a chance and order the set of 4 chairs, because the price is pretty good if you're buying FOUR chairs. Otherwise you can buy a similar chair for $15 at Ikea. However, I too received only one chair in a huge box big enough for four. It was a pain getting it to the post office to return it because the box barely fit in my car. But at least Amazon refunded me and paid for the return shipping (I have Amazon Prime so I didn't pay anything to have it shipped to me...they probably paid more for shipping than the chair was worth!). The only thing I lost was my time, and I ended up wasting more of it going to Ikea for four $15 chairs. I am disappointed that they have such a misleading title, and have not yet corrected it. So unless you're prepared to pay for only ONE chair, don't buy this product!

I ordered this product from Amazon, which contained the following items clearly in the description:

"set of 4 chairs"
"37 pounds" (shipping weight)

After ordering, I was shipped a single chair. Looking elsewhere online for this same item, the cost for a set of 4 chairs is comparable to the price listed, though Amazon's was slightly lower, so I ordered from them.

After repeatedly dealing with customer service, Amazon refused outright to deliver the product as advertised, and instead allowed me to get a refund. It was a huge waste of my time, and the description as it stands now, over a month later, still reflects a shipping weight for a set of 4 chairs, not a single chair. The packaging was also reflective of a 4 chair set, with 3 chairs removed and replaced with filler paper.

This was simply not handled well. When you advertise a product publicly at a given price point, you must honor that purchase. The price wasn't out of line, either. The only way this could have been handled any worse would be if I were forced to pay the return shipping. Thankfully, that didn't happen.

NOT recommended.

These chairs got the world's hardest test for a folding chair. My husband and son both weigh in excess of 300 pounds. I got them, along with a table, for my son's group home in an area he has that is considered a "game room". So they are always up and have done just great throughout many a card game or various puzzles. They've even been moved outside for short times during cook-outs.

BTW, this is not Michael E. Parker, Jr. writing the review. He is my disabled son. I used his bank account to pay for it, but I was the one who actually bought it and the then delivered it to his new "home".

I had a rehearsal of a reading for two new plays in my new apartment and I had no furniture. I liked how these looked but I was really wary of the reviews from 2008 saying there was only a single $100 chair rather than four.

I bought the chairs along with four pads (Kennedy Home Collections Faux Leather Tufted Chair Pad - Black).

All four chairs arrived and when I put the padding on, one of the actors referred to it as "one of the comfortable chairs."

They come fully assembled and ready to use -- except the packaging wraps the chairs tightly together with tough plastic bands, so make sure you have scissors or a knife handy.

I borrowed four of these chairs from a neighbor to help seat my large Thanksgiving dinner gathering. I love how clean and simply elegant they look rather than cold impersonal metal chairs. Unfortunately, my very overweight brother decided to sit on one of these chairs. Sitting was not the problem exactly, it was the leaning back that tore the screws out of the hinge on one side and splintered the wood. I am buying more, to replace the one for my neighbor and to have some of my own. They are nice chairs, just watch the weight limit.
