Winsome Wood Printer Stand with Drawer and Shelf, Honey

I ordered three pieces from this set, the printer stand (this item), the desk, and the quarter-circle corner desk. The big desk and the corner desk were fantastically made and served their purpose well. The printer stand was more susceptible to the manufacturing consistency problems. The problem arises with the lower tray alignment with the four legs. The legs tend to not be perfectly straight and "bow" out a little. I actually received two of these items, the first one was cracked (and missing parts) and a second one was delivered quicly (thanks amazon). The manufacturer is hard to get a hold of, so make sure you order from Amazon because they'll just send you another one. Anyway, the legs on the first one had the same problem, so i picked the best set of legs from the two and put it together.

Overall, I really like this stand. It is true to color and easy to assemble. I have a large officejet all-in-one printer and it holds it well. I didn't have any problem with the legs, but the shelf was very obviously not cut in a straight line on one end. So, it was difficult to get the shelf to stay on at first. I made sure all the screws were tight and tried various positions for the shelf - I found one that fit tight and it will not fall out again. The shelf is currently holding about 8 reams of paper (letter & legal side by side)and could probably hold much more. The table is heavy enough to support my printer and I think it looks real nice. The space inside the drawer measures a little over 9.5" wide, a little under 12" deep, and 2.5" height.

The product was packaged well and went together easily. The color and finish is very nice and true to the picture. The bottom shelf does not quit fit, but not very noticeable. Study enough for my big office jet!

The table I received was more cherry-colored than the matching desk I got at the same time, and the finish is rather splotchy--which is not true of the desk. This table is solid wood: no veneers or "engineered wood." The legs are straight, and it arrived undamaged in its packaging. From the bad experiences some others have reported, I would guess that the packaging has been upgraded. One problem was that the little routed notches in the lower shelf don't line up with the support pins in the legs.

This is a sturdy printer stand. It was a little difficult to position the lower shelf but I finally did. I keep my CPU and modem on the lower shelf and I like that the stand has a drawer. I also purchased the computer desk Honey Pine Finish Home Office Computer Writing Desk and 42" shelf Honey Pine Finish Home Office 4-Tier Shelf Bookcase. The pieces are a perfect fit and look great in my bedroom. I agree with the other reviewers about the insufficient packaging. The desk arrived with a small chip. Otherwise, a nice set.
I also want to comment on Amazon's prompt shipment. The pieces arrived within days of my placing the order.

I am a woman and this was very easy for me to put together in about an hour. All parts were in the box and instructions were easy to follow. We use it for a printer table and it is very steady and doesn't shake when the printer is printing.

This is a solid table that is very easy to assemble. I was not sure what to expect b/c I usually buy these items at a store in order for me to closely inspect and feel. I am glad that I went ahead and bought this stand. I have a printer on the top, paper for the printer in the drawer and my computer "tower" on the lower shelf which has freed up some desk space. The table does not shake when I use the printer and now I can easily access computer paper when I need to.

As with this series of Winsome wood products, the design is excellent but the quality of wood leaves a lot to be desired. Nevertheless, it serves its purpose well.

Once the package arrived at my office I knew this must be real solid wood since the box was a lot heavier than what I was expecting. The packaging was a mess inside with crushed Styrofoam and cardboard everywhere, but there were no scratches, dents, or dings on any of the wood itself. There aren't that many parts to worry about - the top piece with drawer already assembled, the shelf, 4 legs, the drawer knob, and a bag of screws/bolts. Assembly took about 30 minutes and it would have been quicker but I wasn't paying attention and ended up not lining up the holes for the shelf correctly. Make sure that the holes for the shelf are pointing the correct way to save yourself some time.

All in all it's a nice looking sturdy table that was easy to assemble and nicely holds our printer and computer without any problems.
