I've been dumping my clothes on a chair for years, so I really needed a valet. I didn't want to spend a lot, but I wanted something reasonably sturdy that didn't look too bad. These Winsome Wood valets fill the bill nicely. I looked through Amazon's big selection and found one that had the finish I liked and all the extras (wheels and drawer) and had the lowest price. It took a little while (about a week) to arrive, undamaged, but was the model without the drawer and the wheels pictured. I decided that it wasn't worth returning it (it's a big box - nearly 4 feet tall) - especially given the reasonable price.

The valet's appearance is really nice. This is made in Thailand (according to the stickers) and the wood is real and is attractive. The stain isn't first rate; the oak color is a nice medium wood tone has a tad too much orange/yellow cast for my taste, but it's subtle. The finish isn't sanded and polished to a fine shine - it's a bit matte - but that's fine by my book. The overall effect is quite nice - pretty amazing at this price level. The hardware (the rails and mirror) are heavy and nicely done. Assembled, the unit is sturdy and doesn't tip over. The mirror seemed frivolous to me until I started to use the valet. It's great for seeing what you're doing when tying your tie. My only reservation on construction is that the pants rail attaches to the wooden uprights with a friction fit and could come out. It hasn't budged in use, however. The mirror rails screw in nicely. Assembly is driving 8 beefy screws to hold the uprights to the top piece and lower strut. The screws have hex heads and they give you a little wimpy allen key. To really seat those screws takes some force and I recommend a hex bit in a driver or drill. They have decorative wooden plugs to cover the screw holes and include glue to attach them. Quick and easy and it looks great.

All in all - other than the misleading mention of a drawer - this was a very satisfactory solution for the money.

My folks got this for me for Christmas and it's great. Not too difficult to assemble and makes for a convenient spot to "empty out the days pockets."

This is a decent (not great) product in my opinion. Assembly took about 15-20 minutes tops. The quality of the material and craftsmanship of the overall product once assemble was worth the price. I have no regrets in buying it.

The package came on time and was very easy to assemble. It's size is just perfect. My husband uses it every evening to get his clothes ready for the next days work.

My husband loves this valet! I purchased it for his birthday it was all he had asked for. It came well packaged. There was no damage to the box or stand at all. He loves that he can roll it around. This one is half the price of solid wood stand anywhere else. Amazon delivered right on time.

This valet stand is really nice and useful. My husband always likes to set out his outfit the night before work and this really comes in handy. These are not very easy to find in stores so I really was pleased to see it on Amazon.
