This stand has instructions you can read, beyond that, the finish on the different parts vary from part to part and most of the parts had small dings or marks. The individual parts are made of very flimsy lightweight wood or composite material that gives the stand a light cheap feel. Most of the parts fit into grooves that are difficult to align because of the flimsy materials. There are 8 wood screws that hold the entire stand together, none of the twist locking clamps you find in other self assemble furniture. Probably because the material used is too thin for quality fasteners. The screws are very difficult to tighten, requiring a great amount of arm strength to tighten them. The two internal shelves lay on small supports on the front and back of the stand, but are not supported on the sides. Which means if you tilt the stand the shelves are free to shift and fall out the bottom of the stand. At $80 the stand is way overpriced, and offers no value for the money.

Frame for the drop portion of the front split all the way through near the handle, this "front Panel" section is prefabricated and shipped one one part. Never saw wood do that, even balsa wood. Turns out it is a chipboard not wood. The material has NO strength. One of the screws stripped at the head, which is typical for any fasteners made in another country. Don't bother buying this item or anything made by "Winsome Wood". This appears to have been made in Thailand. Amazon needs to publish in their product description the country where the item is made.

I was hoping for a half way decent product from the reviews I read but was disappointed. This product is merely ok...can't believe I spend almost $99 on this. Got a better deal at Ikea. This is now sitting in my garage waiting to go to good will.

I just requested a return of this item. I could not assemble it as manufactured. The instructions call for screwing together a few pieces then inserting side panels in provided slots. However, the slots to not line up properly and the side panels cannot be inserted. I could probably drill new holes and get it assembled, but these kinds of defects are inexcusable.

In addition, the unit as a whole seems to be very cheaply built.

I started putting it together and discovered the grooves didn't line up when I connected the front to the side piece. I had to wait a couple weeks for them to send me a new front piece. Things still don't fit together perfectly so there are some little gaps in the corners. I also found the guideholes were too small and after I had tried to put it together the first time, I'd stripped some of the screws, making it hard to put it together the second time. I'd expected to get a whole new set of equipment, but only got the front piece. I probably would have just sent the thing back except that it is so hard to find a decent tv stand that isn't huge these days. That said, it looks okay now that it's put together.

It is ALL KINDS OF HARD to assemble. The "wood" they use is glorified cork board. The unit is so tiny it would only work in a small childs room. This is DECEIVINGLY overpriced. Dont expect this unit to be any different from the $15-$20 tv stands from walmart or you will be dissapointed.

This is an inexpensive stand. I paid about $85, including free 2-day Amazon Prime shipping. It has the problems other reviewers have noted: scratches and uneven finish; hard to assemble because pieces do not line up. But I'm satisfied with the purchase because I needed something cheap (temporary use) delivered to my door. I have a turntable on top, which takes up about 2/3 of the width leaving room for other stuff. I put a receiver in the middle shelf. The receiver is 15" deep and 5.25" high. The shelf is only 13" deep. Perfect solution: the back panel is so flimsy that I could easily remove it. (The back panel for the bottom shelf is separate so it is still intact.) The receiver fits perfectly now, with just enough clearance for ventilation. (A tall AV receiver may not fit.) And with the back of the receiver exposed, connecting cables is a cinch. The lower shelf with the fold-down door is small; just put some CD's and accessories in there.

This additional furniture piece fits perfect into our living room decor. It just fits our over sized Sony receiver in the bottom level. The partical board backing had to be cut out for it to fit; but the rest of the furniture is solid Oak.
A couple of unstained nicks on it can be seen from the front, but we should be able to take care of that.

We just recently had a tv mounted on our wall and needed a small table for our components and after reading some of the reviews for this table we were a bit leery but decided to give it a try as it was in our price range. According to previous reviews it says that the top falls off after its been assembled, now i don't know if they changed the screws in previous builds of this stand but if you screw the screws in all the way and make sure they are lined up with the pre-marked holes they are more then long enough to hold this table together. I assembled the entire stand in about 15 minutes, instructions were easy to read, and I lifted it by the top to make sure it was sturdy. So if you are looking for a cheap stand that looks good i would recommend this item. Just remember to make sure you screw the screws all they way in.

TV stand is a good size and was easy to put together. I am using it to hold a nostalgic record player. The wooden finish is uneven and there are areas with what looked like scratches but was just the wood grain being so prominent.
