An Album Worth Buying, October 16, 2000
This review is from: The Winter Album (Audio CD)
I have read some of the reviews saying how it was a rip-off because all of the songs except for "U Drive Me Crazy" were on another album. Well, the non-Christmas songs are almost all remakes, and you don't feel stupid because you are listening to a Christmas CD in the middle of July. All in all, it's worth it, but here's a review of all of the songs anyways.
U Drive Me Crazy- A song with catchy lyrics that will get you dancing.
A Little More Time- Not quite the same as the US version. More strings and shorter intro.
Thinking Of You- VERY different from the US release! The La-la's are replaced by electric guitars, and the carried out vocals in the beginning are cut out to give you a full-blast finish. Different background music and JC sings first lead instead of Chris.
Everything I Own- Better background music and vocals help shape Lance's speaking solo.
I Just Wanna Be With You- Same funky beat and lyrics. Listen closely to the end. You'll hear a naughty little whisper... ;)
Kiss Me At Midnight- A song about New Year's Eve that REALLY gets a party going. I know from first-hand experience.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays- Another funky, catchy tune.
All I Want Is You- A pretty, sweet, yet fun song that I can't listen to for hours. Nice little blues section in the background.
Under My Tree- Nice tune and vocals, but weak lyrics bring the whole review down a notch.
Love's In Our Hearts On Christmas- A beautiful ballad worth listening to. Awesome vocals and background music that take your breath away.
In Love On Christmas- Weird song that may take a while to grow on you.
The First Noel- Very pretty remake that adds nice music to the background.

Okay...anyone else confused about 10sec track Family Affair?, March 5, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Winter Album (Audio CD)
Okay...I bought this album because I absolutely LOVE *NSYNC, and Justin of course. Not only that, but they are my favorite group and I love their music!!! Well...when I bought this, I was all excited 'cause their were a couple songs I'd never heard the whole version of..like U Drive Me Crazy..and a couple songs I'd never listened to like Thinking of You, and Family Affair. I was really, really, really, disappointed when I found out that even though the track Family Affair was listed and all, IT WASN'T ON THERE!!! It made me pissed alright. I went on one of the *NSYNC yahoo chats and was asking everyone else about it, but the other people who bought the Winter Album all told me the same thing..the track for Family Affair was listed, but only for 10 seconds, and it didn't even play. I don't know if this was a big factory mistake or something, but it isn't on anyones cd. I still think this is worth buying of course, the other songs are great, and I just love playing this cd, I still give it 5 stars. So go ahead and buy it, just be aware that the track Family Affair isn't on it. I also noticed that Amazon didn't list that track...probably because they also realized it doesn't work. Well, everyone....STAY *NSYNC!!!! Luv, Taz

A very different but great CD!, January 24, 2000
This review is from: The Winter Album (Audio CD)
The reason I say different is because it is kind of a half-and-half album. Half the songs are Christmas songs and the other half are regular pop songs. I will say that you should beware about buying this CD, though, because there are really only two new songs on it: "U Drive Me Crazy" and "Thinking Of You". You can find all of the other songs on "Home For Christmas" and their debut album. But it was a really cool CD to listen to. "U Drive Me Crazy" is the best song on the CD. I like the mid-tempo and no, it isn't a version of the song by Britney Spears. "Thinking Of You" was a cool song because it is really just a different version of "I Drive Myself Crazy". The difference is that JC is singing the leads in the beginning and not Chris. But, like I said, this was a great CD and I recommend it.
