Expand your horizons ... China in the 1930's,
By Catherine Cameron "C A Cameron" (Colorado-Missouri-Venezuela) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Winter in China (Isis General Fiction) (Paperback)
Cannot understand how badly this book was reviewed. Enthralling page turner, vivid character introspection, found myself wondering how Douglas Galbraith had time traveled back to China in the 1930's ... the read was an altogether engrossing experience with truly intelligent observations, characters and an absolute air of authenticity. This is a perfect "rainy day read" on the sofa with a glass of wine. I did not want to put it down!

Painful to Read.,
By Bunny Rae Gliek (Chicago, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Winter in China (Kindle Edition)
Atrocious writing... "magazine advertisement clothes" just one little tidbit from this buffet of bad prose. Not worth the price - and it's only 2.99.
