From Publishers Weekly
Miller has combined his own photographs with meditations, poetry selections, scripture, spiritual exercises and quotations from such varied sources as Brother Lawrence and Gaelic prayers to create a roadway through the grief that comes from a loved one's death. His compilation will be a helpful companion or tool for those mourning the anticipated death of a parent, the peaceful passing of a spouse of many years or of an old and trusted friend. There is nothing here, however, that addresses the stunning vacuum left by an abrupt and untimely death of a child or the agony of coping with violent death. Anyone living in that real world will find this collection far too saccharine and far too easy.
