Winter Into Spring, by George Winston, is another fine offering from this gifted pianist. IF you are new to Mr. Winston, welcome, you are in for a treat. If Mr. Winston is old hat to yopu, enjoy the opportunity to own these once fantastic albums of now even greater CDs. Simply another 5 star CD from Mr. Winston. This is a CD to put on in the background and play all day.

This is my favorite. This, IMHO, is the pinnacle of Winston's art form. This, and maybe DECEMBER. AUTUMN runs a close third. And the Vince Giraldi - Linus and Lucy thing is cute. But WINTER INTO SPRING is his most emotional and carefree recording. It brings back very good memories every time I hear it. It is happy, warm, kitchen, hearth, autumn, tea and a good book music. There are even segments that begin to rock a little. Coolness!!! This remaster is incredibly brilliant, lively and rich. Then again, all Windham Hill recordings are exceptionally recorded. So they had very good material to remaster from. This is a great starting place for people new to George Winston. And if you need to cash in your old LP or cassettes, this is the place to start. Beautiful.

I had never before heard of George Winston. By chance I heard his "February Sea" on the radio and was enchanted by it. I immediately looked for this piece and was delighted to find it. I now often listen to all of the compositions on this CD and enjoy them every time.

I love Gerorge Winston. This is not my all-time favorite album of his, but it's very good. (Just my personal taste) I think December is one of his best.

What can one say about George Winston that hasn't already been said. He is a true artist. For sure he has varied his musical style with the years. This CD selection harkens back to the "December" fare. It too evokes serene thoughts and a tranquil mood that opens up to the dawn of new life with spring.

This is one of the better George Winston albums. It has variety, but most of the selections are bright and interesting, and some of the melodies are recognizable as well.

It's a replacement for a cassette tape version. The recording is very clear and lifelike.

While I don't especially enjoy solo piano music as a rule, I do enjoy most of George Winston's compositions and his playing style. And Winter into Spring is one of his very best.
