If this is your first experience with Michael Gettel, you will become a loyal listener from now on. Michael's keyboard artistry, coupled with the musical talents of several New Age music greats (i.e. Nancy Rumble), has created a moving musical portrait.

Picture yourself walking down a wooded path away from man-made noise. Then suddenly, quietly it begins to snow--the first snow of the season. Michael's "First Snow" captures the atmosphere of such a moment.

"Winter's Twilight" is a perfect song to relax to while watching the sun set over a frozen landscape (You don't even need the snow! Michael paints the picture for you in the song.).

From the songs "Flight" to "When All is Quiet", you will no longer dread winter, but see the beauty in it simply because of the way Michael has "seen" winter in this collection. The songs are both somber and brisk--feelings and emotions that are highlighted in the cold, grey months of winter.

This is a must have CD. It will leave you wanting more of Michael's music as well as cause you to be lost deep in thought and reflection. This is wonderful music for your soul.

i dont like classical music and i dont know if this is classical or not, but i go to school and hes my music teacher and hes a great guy and you should buy his album. And hes really good at piano.

Winter proves to be the best as of date for Michael Gettel. He captures the essence of Winter with such delicate force that you wish that Winter could last a lifetime. It is at once haunting and reflecting and then turns joyous. He has put other offerings from previous albums but they all seem to carry within them themes that will stay with you for some time. Again, he is the master of his work. Bravisimo!

GETTELL HAS A VERY UNIQUE AND WINTER LIKE SOUND. Ispend alot of all nighters plowing snow and his cd best describes sometimes whats going on in my head thanks Mike
