Although this is a "Winter" album, the music can be enjoyed all year round. It is a collection of a few unknown, yet amazingly, beautiful Christmas Carols, along with some new original pieces.

I own two of Jon Schmidt's CD's and enjoy them both immensely. "Winter Serenade" is an appropriate title as it has a wintry feel not limited to Christmas. The slower pieces are exquisite, a delight to listen to by a crackling fire on a chilly night. I like this CD in the month of November--before the more typical Christmas songs take over--and again in January and February as winter grinds on.

This is my favorite Christmas album ever. I think North Pole Express is such a fun song and Pachelbel Meets U2 is such a fabulous rendition of Canon in D. This album is worth every penny.

I own every one of Jon Schmidt's CD's and every one of his piano books. Jon Schmidt's music takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. You can be laughing at his bumblebee song one minute and trying to see through your tears the next. For anyone who likes new-age music that is very inspiring and uplifting I would highly recommend any of Jon's music.
