I own two of Jon Schmidt's CD's and enjoy them both immensely. "Winter Serenade" is an appropriate title as it has a wintry feel not limited to Christmas. The slower pieces are exquisite, a delight to listen to by a crackling fire on a chilly night. I like this CD in the month of November--before the more typical Christmas songs take over--and again in January and February as winter grinds on.

I received this CD as a Christmas present last year. I spent the next few months listening to it, even though it wasn't Christmas anymore! There are some amazing songs, including Pacabel meets U2, First Run, and the Wexford Carol. I actually had a really special experience with this CD! I had just given birth to my first son, and he was up crying at 4:00am. We came downstairs and I turned on this CD and rocked him in the chair. He fell asleep in my arms as I reveled in the music of this beautiful CD. There is just something magical about these songs, ones that I will enjoy for years to come!

I own every one of Jon Schmidt's CD's and every one of his piano books. Jon Schmidt's music takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. You can be laughing at his bumblebee song one minute and trying to see through your tears the next. For anyone who likes new-age music that is very inspiring and uplifting I would highly recommend any of Jon's music.

This is a new artist for me... and I have to say I loved all the instrumental songs that were on the CD; they were well executed, serene, beautiful listening. I was however extremely disappointed with the last song.... turns out it was Jon;s daughter singing a Beatles song. Now I realize that every parent thinks their child is talented and that what they do is cute and cherished; however, when I am paying for a professional CD the last thing I want to hear is a 6 yo child who sounded petrified to be singing, singing off-key! This may be cute at a school recital, but on a professional CD that people are paying good money for? No! Jon's described it as " a priceless recording of Anne's first public recording" and that many people who heard her had asked for a recording... to me it is priceless only to the family. If I could have returned the CD I would have because of this last song.

My two favorite tracks on this album are "Wexford Carol" and "Pachelbel Meets U2." "Wexford Carol" is an exquisite arrangement of a hauntingly beautiful English hymn with some kind of amazing sounding pipes. "Pachelbel Meets U2" is energetic and just downright fun.

What kind of person can juxtapose Pachelbel with "With or Without You?" Jon Schmidt can!

I love this CD, it helps you feel good and it's perfect for Christmas and so good to use all year round. I can't pick out a favorite song, I love them all! Jon is so entertaining in his music and brings out a full spectrum of emotions! I love all his songs, his concerts are the best too. If you like a modern twist on classical songs this cd is for you!

This is one of my favorites from Jon Schmidt. Still, Still, Still and the North Pole Express are some of his best songs considering all his albums. If you love great piano music--this is a great addition. My kids especially love it. We play this and all his albums year round and all my boys aspire to play Jon's songs. Well worth the money.

I love Winter Serenade. It really is "seasonless" & I enjoy it all year long. My favorite is Pachelbel Meets U2. This song was used at our wedding when I walked down the aisle. We received so many compliments on Jon's music & people wanting to know who it was. I haven't heard a bad album yet.

I don't know about everyone else, but when I listen to this album, it moves me. I cannot help but feel energized by some of the upbeat pieces, and filled with a feeling of peace with the slower solice pieces. I highly recommend this album to anyone that just loves good music!

I love this cd. It is just what I was looking for. Some days I just want to listen to instrumental music and this just fits the bill. So enjoyable to listen while reading or working in the kitchen. I would recommend this cd if your looking for great instrumental music.
