4.0 out of 5 stars Prog/Rock at its best May 9, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This is a very good album by a quality band who are mainly prog but you can hear other influences in them like Grand Funk and Deep Purple well worth getting for your collection if you love good music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Discordant Wintercoast April 8, 2013
Format:Audio CD
Wintercoast finds the lush fresh voice of Kim Seviour being more on the vocals than with the debut album (2008) Discordant Dreams, where Rob Cottingham and her harmonize beautifully and the Album is a must. Here I find Rob leaned more toward producing and taking a backseat so to say and now and again his great vocals, sometimes ghostly echo Kims vocals

Wintercoast is heavier, darker and more prog driven and more metalic and all the musicians just blend in. This album also finds Moo more on the bass getting some good chops in (although curry is his dish) and in front and drummer Henry Rodgers from Deeexpus King of Number 33 hitting the skins replacing the previous drummer but adding new flavour with some nice off beats, while lead guitar from Hodge is never missing a tune and I put him close to the Police guitaris in the sense of good guitaring and finger work.

I found them here to becoming a company, a family and with the re-release of Mad Hatters Ep (Enhanced) ( a must have if you want to really enjoy the jovial, progressive side of the band. [ASIN:B003VC6EUY Live In The USA...]] followed and received high praise, some even wondering where the tour would be next, and of course what new material was in the process.

Then came The City Sleeps but that's another review time to sleep, outside the city....
