Book Description

Owner of La Bella Vita, a five-star day spa nestled in the affluent suburbs of Nashville, Tennessee, Beth Sergeant knows her elite clientele firsthand. She attended their private schools. She was even engaged, although briefly, to one of their most recognized bachelors. But she never fit in to their social-elite world.

After losing his parents to a car accident at a young age, Nick Chester was raised by his grandfather, the wealthiest man in Nashville. When he chooses to socialize, he has a never-ending list of exclusive events and beautiful women vying for his attention. Yet he never lets himself forget that everyone has an agenda.

Beth can't resist Nick's charm and accepts an invitation to dinner, despite her deep-seated insecurities. She proves she's nothing like other women Nick's dated and learns to trust him in return. But just as the last of their resistance crumbles and true love is within reach, challenges from Nick's past threaten to destroy everything and force Beth to reveal her most guarded secret.

4.0 out of 5 stars Predictable but loved it ... December 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
There are many different themes to this book that won't surprise you. In fact, you'll be able to guess what some of the characters are going to do next - especially when Nick and Beth start getting close. But the build-up for each character and the pacing of how the story develops is so, so well-written you'll be drooling for what happens next.

If you need comparisons, think Danielle Steele or Jackie Collins. Beth is the ever-strong but slightly vulnerable while Nick appears to hide his flaws, until his past starts catching up with him. So, can love at first sight conquer all or is it the first layer to a nightmare that will reinforce your cynical side to all things 'love'? You'll just have to read the book to find out.

Would I recommend this read? Oh yes, definitely.

4.0 out of 5 stars Winter's Magic January 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This was an enjoyable book. Beth is a smart business woman who owns and manages an amazing spa. She meets Nick when he comes in to a spa package and there is an instant attraction. While Beth grew up with the elite, she was never really a part of that circle since her family wasn't as wealthy as most. Nick on the other hand is from an exceptionally wealthy family and could have his choice of women. Will their two worlds find a way to exist together?
I did like the instant attraction in this book. It was there, you could feel it and their bantering was great to read. Beth was a complex character who has issues both past and present that affect the way she sees the world. Nick is strong and wants to do things on his own but is also kind and private. They are a great couple. The 'issues' that try to tear them apart are understandable and even unsurprising, but the story all in all was good.
I rate this a 4/5. It was a good quick romance read.

Thank you to PumpUpYourBooks for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Charming Story! January 17, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
What a wonderful holiday romance! I am glad that I read this.

The plot had romance galore, a few bumps in the road to the HEA, a girl and guy that you can't help but want to get together, and of course, some Christmas spirit! :D

I would gladly recommend this book to all romance readers, especially those looking for a holiday read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I honestly loved it. I didn't put it down until I was finished.

I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. :D

5.0 out of 5 stars Genuinely sweet December 13, 2013

I loved this book, the story was beautiful the characters were amazing and the ending was perfect. Beth and Nick seemed like complete opposites, they came from a different class but when they had a chance meeting at Beth's spa neither expected anything from it. Of course there is always people who want to hurt other now the only question is will Beth and Nick make it through the problems. Looking forward to reading the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic! July 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Magic can happen at any time but it's truly magical when it happens in winter, even more during Christmas time. I fell in love with this book from the beginning. Who could not, when Ms. Gail starts comparing sex with chocolate?

Beth is an independent woman who is attracted to Nick from the moment he walks into her spa business. Only, he is there to buy Lauren a birthday gift and she believes he is off limits. Beth doesn't have a good record in the relationship department since she is the one that compares sex to chocolate. She comes from a middle class family and has worked hard to get where she is at, but she did have a little help from her father. She couldn't believe it when she went to his grandpa's pre-Christmas party and he asked her out to midnight mass on Christmas Eve.

Nick is a wealthy bachelor, well, recent bachelor since he broke his relationship with Lauren a couple of days before he bought her her birthday gift. He went to Beth's spa since his grandfather had recommended him to see her for the gift. He was attracted to her from the moment that he saw her. So when he saw her at the party, he said the first thing that came to his head.

Nick and Beth were perfect for each other. On their first date, he found himself taking her to the best restaurant in town for a wonderful dinner and some dancing. But Lauren was there. She's a socialite, but the break up for Lauren is not permanent. She will do anything to get Nick back, to the point of almost hurting Beth but Beth stood her ground and cleared the misunderstanding. Only that Lauren was more conniving, and this time, she did the unthinkable and Nick had no choice but break it off with Beth.

I love that these two characters, Nick and Beth, complement each other so well. Ms.

Nice to read about the hometown. Not too much drama but neede some conflict to have some suspense. This was a new take on it. I wasn't sure how things would end up. Nicely done.

More About the Author

My husband and I live in the suburbs of Nashville, Tennessee with our eighteen-year-old son and three dogs. When I'm not working or writing, I can be found with family and friends. I love to bake in the winter, grill in the summer, and on occasion, I sneak away from everyone and curl up with a good book.
