Melancholy and Beautiful, August 31, 2009

A folk metal classic. I picked up this album after learning that this band is one of the biggest influences on Agalloch's music. It is an amazingly beautiful yet haunting album. The songs are all slow and yet somehow bring a sense of hope to the listener.
It's a great album to listen to during long winter days, or when you're just lying in bed.
