This game is fun if you like Winx Club. The part where you get to play the fairies flying around is the best, the enemies are hard!! The magic closet is good too, I like designing clothes for Stella to wear because she's my favorite. I want my friends to get it so we can trade clothes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Boring....., July 9, 2008

I bought this game a few months after it came out and was very excited to get it. When I started to play it though it didn't take long to realize that it's the same six "mini games" over and over again. You read more in this game than you play. I wouldn't buy it again. Save your money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Childish Game, November 6, 2011
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Winx Club: The Quest For The Codex (Video Game)
There was a time that video games were all geared and aimed towards a male audience. Around the time the Winx Club games were coming out, people began to realize that girls liked playing video games too. I mean, we had games such as Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill REMASTERED that proved you could have cool games for girls. I picked up the Winx Club game because I was honestly curious to see if they had made a game that girls, particularly this age group would enjoy. I honestly think they have failed.

Nothing really happens in this game. You are stuck playing six games over and over, and the challenge level never grows for the game player. The game play is mind knumbing, and you don't have to think much about what you are doing. Now, this isn't to say that this kind of repetitive game play isn't a good thing, but the honest truth is, this is the kind of game play you expect to see for a Blues Clues game, or Dora the Explora. The age group these games are geared toward tends to be eight or younger.

However, Winx Club is aimed at older girls, preteens to be exact. Why then is it that this game is talking down on these girls intelligence levels? They are beyond such simple puzzles. The guys in the same age group are already playing things like Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, and those are a bigger challenge then what we are giving girls. And that is just wrong. Let's just say, this is a game I ended up trading in, because it isn't even worth playing to the end. It is that boring.
