I was torn between buying this game for my son's Nintendo DSi, or going with the Wii version. There was a slight price difference between the two when it first came out. To be honest, I had reservations about even buying this game in the first place. I had a hard time imagining how fun & interesting it could actually be. My kids absolutely love the show on television. My younger son begged for this game - it was at the top of his birthday wish list. Of course, we wound up getting it. I decided to go with the DS version so that he wouldn't tie up the Wii in the event he actually liked the game. I must admit, it has held his attention for a lot longer than I had anticipated! Even after three solid weeks of ownership, he keeps going back & playing it.At age 9, he has successfully unlocked new players and managed to advance to a bunch of different levels. I was pleasantly surprised at how closely the format of the game resembles the actual show! Of course with the cartoonish looking characters, it makes this game truly appropriate for younger players. The way the obstacles change as you reach new levels really helps to hold (younger) player's attention. The ability to choose from multiple characters and change their outfits is just one more detail that makes the game fun for everyone. Of course, having the real voices of the television announcers also adds to its interest and realistic feel. I find myself peeking over my son's sholder and getting a chuckle when he "wipes out". Overall, this game gets 4 stars - simply because it's good family oriented fun. I don't have to worry about any of the content and it is easy enough for my 9 year old to play without getting discouraged.

My son wanted this game for his 12th birthday. He loves the show. I must say... he's either a very good player, or the obstacles are easier to navigate in the virtual world than in the real world. He skips along on rolling logs and crouches effortlessly under sweeper arms. Yet I hear enough groans and mutters of "Yes! Finally!" to know that he's finding the game challenging. Of course, he likes that the game uses the voices of the actual announcers and was excited when he "unlocked" them and made them contestants.I would say, though, that I think the description of the DS game as a multi-player game is wrong. At least, my son says it's not multi-player. They must have used a generic description on Amazon for both the Wii and the DS versions. I debated between this game and one based on the hit movie, Despicable Me: The Game: Minion Mayhem, but the reviews of that game were mixed, saying that it was too easy, somewhat boring and that the player can't control the minions, so they just wander around aimlessly until they meet their end. That didn't sound so fun, so I opted for this game. I'm glad I did.

Wipeout. When you think of this word, you think of hiliarous fslls, funny tumbles, and, of course, BIG BALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!! This game brings all of the fun of the hit TV show to the video game consle. The characters are HILARIOUS!!! Their are obstacles that you see in TV show! Their is Jon Henson, John Anderson, and Jill Wagner. What more do you want from a video game?
