I was looking for the hanging basket which you used to be able to find EVERYWHERE! When I purchased these I wasn't sure if they would be good and sturdy or the el cheapo ones! I was shocked to see that these were percect! Great sturdy baskets to hold potato's to oranges to apples. The basket are large as well! I am very pleased!

we just used this for fruit, so nothing too heavy. the chains broke within the first week. after replacing all of the chain with a heftier link, it is great.

I purchased this product and so far so good. I've read about the links coming apart, but hasn't happened. I put apples, oranges, bananas and everything is fine.

I love this basket. It's sturdy and stylish. The hook is strong, and the baskets hold a lot of produce. However, It hangs a bit too high to the kitchen ceiling to reach the top basket. I am quite tall, so this is usually not a problem. If it would hang 4-6 more inches lower, I would have rated it 5 stars.

So, I could understand a chain coming unhooked in transit, but the one I ordered was shipped with one of the chains not only not attached to the hook, but the chain itself was at least 5 inches too short. Even if attached it would have been unhangable - I would say that's a major defect in a hanging basket.

Since it was also immediately obvious this would indicate to me very poor quality control.

i looked so long and hard from many many stores for this basket. a friend of mine said go to the net you will find it. i thought about Amazon.com having everything, that is where i found the hanging basket. the price was great (so much cheaper than driving from store to store ). when i did recieve the basket i was extremely happy built so much better than baskets of the 70s and 80s. thank you amazon.com

I've had my baskets for about a week now, I have some stuff in each basket and no problems. It holds several pounds of onions, fruit, and tomatoes easily. I was a little wary after reading some of hte other reviews, especially some on a similar-looking item that was by a different brand/company but I haven't had any problems. It seems sturdy and works great for the purpose I ordered it for. Sure it may break if you overload it, but for light to moderate loads it seems fine. I'd buy another one if I had more room in my kitchen.

This basket is nice looking. Goes well with modern or traditional style kitchens and could probably work in any style. I use it for fruits and vegetables and load it down with bananas, apples, oranges, tomatoes and even onions and so far it has held up. Very nice. Glad I purchased.

The product looked great. I was aware of chains breaking on other similar products so I was careful about how much I added to the baskets. A total of 3 pounds broke the chains.

I am totally disappointed!!

I had been looking for a basket for our small kitchen for some storage and this is just what it needed. Obviously it can't hold a huge amount of weight but it has held about 5 oranges, 3 cloves of garlic, and bananas all at once. I have had this product for about a year and I don't think I could go without it.
