This book was everything I had hoped it would be. It has straightforward drawings and easy to follow instructions. It covers the "basics" of wire making. If you are unclear about a few basic steps, this will answer your questions. Covers everything from types of wire, tools, care, to using mandrels & wire jigs. The pictures are large and very detailed containing tips throughout. It will NOT take the place of an in-depth manual on wire making. This is only a pocket guide to jog your memory.

I went to the bookstore for another book and ran across this one I love it, I used it 2 days later and it taught me a few techniques that I have not done or done very well before. It's a very good step by step of how to do some wirework. I have purchased ( on amazon) some design books on wire and other techniques and while they have some amazing projects this one will help get a good foundation for any of the rest that you will get. They have a great section about tools, wire, care etc and also a section on using a wire jig!
Love it and plan on getting more on things I want to learn on different subjects. Great buy, Great resource you will not be sorry!

The visuals in this book are very clear and instructive. They are the closest thing to having a live class instructor in the room with you. There are several jewelry making techniques shown along with tools that I had no idea existed! Images are very clear and instructive on which tools to use for different applications. The book discusses basic design considerations such as color harmony, weight, texture, proportion and motif and pattern. It discusses a range of jewelry-making techniques from beginning to advanced and using wire, macrame, and weaving. This book will become a resource to be used over and over again during the jewelry-making process. Your imagination will be the only thing that stands the way of making fabulous art!

This is a terrific book that explains how to make the basic wire jewelry. This book is easy to follow and gets right to the point. First it teaches you about the different types of wire and then tools. Then it teaches how to make some of the basics of jewelry like jump rings and bead links, ect. Next it teaches about some of the more advanced techniques to try after you have mastered the basics; like making a wire ring or making a briolette drop. Finally it teaches you about wire chains and how to use a wire jig. As the title says it teaches you all this visually with pictures of each step. I am a visual learner so for me the pictures really helped to make learning easier. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to make beautiful jewelry with wire.

I was very surprised when I received this product because I was expecting a large book, but it was small and fully packed with great pictures of detailed instructions for making some very beautiful & interesting pieces. I like the fact that the book was small, I can carry it with me when I travel to use as a reference. This is one of the things that I like so much about Amazon, there's always lots of choices and they offer you many.

Very informitive book. I am a visual learner and this book has many visual instructions and how-to's. Great information regarding the types of wire and gauges etc. Also the pictures, description and uses of the tools is very well done. I am just starting out on the adventure of wire jewelry and I think this book will be a wonderful guide to get me going.

I love this book. It is a great reference! I love having it on hand to check my techniques as I am making jewelry. I wish they had more of these with more advanced techniques!

I am pleased with this book. It gives excellent pictures and directions for wire wrapping jewelry.
I have purchased many books with directions on all aspects of jewelry making. The Visual Quick Tips Wire Jewelry, is better than any other book in my collection. When considering purchasing another book on a subject, my first choice will be a Visual book if available from Amazon.

Just what I needed. Perfect for the beginner I am. Pictures and narrative make it clear how to manage tasks.

I've been experimenting with making feather earrings, but needed a bit of help in making them not look so homemade. I was also struggling with the various jewelry making terms I kept running across while looking for wire and tools. This book was just what I needed! I feel like I can create almost anything now. I love that it is spiral bound, so it is much easier to keep open to the page you need. Now I just hope I don't spend too much more money creating all kinds of new things!
