These dudes really know how to sing the blues!,

I highly recommend this cd even if this isn't one of your favorite styles of music. I've really enjoyed it, listening to it when having friends over for drinks and even dancing to it in the shower. It's multi-purposeted. A+ for lyrics and groove. My favorite song is Million-Air. This was the first I've heard of them and now I'm interested in hearing some of their other stuff.

Well I gush, so shoot me. All reviews are correct. Great BLUES, great songs, intelligent lyrics, great musos, originality and a wicked sense of humour. If you like the BLUES, you are missing out, if this isn't in your collection. After receiving this CD, my wife and I danced around the living room for close to an hour, one of the highest compliments we can pay to any CD.

Every one of the Glamour Puss CDs is filled with energy : these hard-working musicians from the Maritimes certainly know how to party. Musically speaking, the album is impressive, there are no fillers, all the tracks bear listening to over and over again. Amazing guitar pieces, beautiful songs, a really tight band... It's in my car, and it gets played every day, sometimes twice, and I can tell you right now that it's going to liven up our holiday season this year. For guitar lovers, there are a couple of really good cuts ("Blues for Sheila", and "Wire and Wood"). Furlong also wrote one of my faves on this album, "Hollow Man". Cry-in-your-beer kind of song about loneliness. Other favourites change from day to day : the soulful "If You Miss Me" just makes you want to be slow-dancing in someone's arms, the rollicking "Mama Don't Play No Zydeco" will have you bouncing up and down, "Dangereuse", well... if I start listing tracks, I might have to list them all, and I didn't even mention the amazing rhythm section, or the quite brilliant sax instrumental, or... or... or... A very exciting new album, and I hope it gets the recognition and awards it deserves.
