5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for your cable dollar
This kit is a great idea, and is the most convenient way I've seen to get superb quality HDMI cabling for your home entertainment needs.

2.0 out of 5 stars You can do better for less
Look carefully, you don't get 2 HDMI cables, only 1.
The other cable is a bulky 5 wire "COMPONENT" set.

I think it's an overpriced and deceptive package.

I've been buying the MEDIABRIDGE HDMI cables here and I've bought several more for my friends who just bought high end LCD or Plasma TVs.

Most of the cables I bought included...

This kit is a great idea, and is the most convenient way I've seen to get superb quality HDMI cabling for your home entertainment needs.

Convenience, however, is just part of the picture with these cables. These are serious cables. The sound quality is actually noticeably better than what I've gotten out of other cables, so much so that I'm planning to re-wire our downstairs set. I've got some knowledge of what makes a good cable, and my understanding is that there are three things that make a big difference, and these cables, in spite of a reasonable price point, have three things that you usually have to pay a lot more for:

1. All copper wire - and it's the high quality, solid center kind, so that makes the biggest difference in reducing sound distortion. Forget the "50% more copper" or "more copper than other cables" - you want 100% copper with a solid core.

2. Cable construction - these guys use the kind of organized cable structuring that much more expensive cable manufacturers use. Instead of just putting the wires in and twisting them, there is organized geometry in these cables that minimizes the magnetic spillover (and therefore, distortion) from one wire to another.

3. Not soldered connectors - solder can ruin an otherwise perfectly good cable, creating a "leap" for the signal that adds significant distortion. You do NOT want an HDMI cable with solder, even silver solder. It's not as good as these, no matter how much you're being overcharged for it.

These are the kinds of cable construction considerations that I've seen in some of the really high end stuff - some of which can get into thousands of bucks for cable. Not willing to go there, but this kit is a terrific deal for the money when it comes to quality, and you just can't beat the convenience. On the flip side, some of the biggest cable manufacturers do a great "sell" job, but don't meet the basic criteria outlined above for really superior quality. You'll see all kinds of claims, but read carefully. When they compare the quality of their image to conventional TV, that's a big watch-out. They should be comparing to other cable makers within the HDMI world. Of course it's better than conventional TV. It'd better be.

5.0 out of 5 stars HDMI made easy, November 19, 2007
Hallelujah! Finally, someone with quality cables figured out how to make
HDMI installation easy. I recently installed my second plasma TV, in our
upstairs bonus room. The first had gone up about a year ago. With the first one, I thought I had everything I needed when I brought the TV home. OHHHH NOOOOOO! Three trips to Radio Shack and Best Buy later, (and another couple hundred bucks!) I finally had all the different cables and pieces I needed to get the sound, picture and all pieces hooked up and working together.

This time, I saw this kit on Amazon before we purchased the TV. We ordered it. The experience couldnąt have been much different. BEFORE we had the TV, I had all the pieces I needed on hand to put it together. Two HDMI cables! Yes! And the CV, and the audio. They even throw in a little bottle of screen cleaner. So when the TV arrived, we were able to pop in the new Ratatouille DVD right off the bat and the kids (and I) were happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars great kit, April 7, 2009
This review is from: WireLogic HDTV Hook-Up Kit (2m Cables) (Electronics)
This kit is great! You get some of the best HDMI cables out there for 1/3rd the price! It also has component cables that very stylish and work really well with samsung TV. The cleaner is pretty nice especially for glossy screen on LCDs. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to save money without sacrificing best quaility you can get from HDMI cables. Hope this is helpful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most everything you need for HDTV-AV System startup, January 10, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: WireLogic HDTV Hook-Up Kit (2m Cables) (Electronics)
This kit contains the essentials for most modern HDTV <-> AV System setups ( at least for most but missing a digital audio cable - TOSLink Optical or Coax ). The cables are high quality construction, with nice clean finish. The picture quality produced - one'd be hard-pressed to see any difference from truly high-end $$$ cables. The only item really missing in this "Hook-up Kit" is a decent Power Filter / Surge Suppressor Power Bar - the most crucial element of a good HD AV System setup.
The results: able to hook-up most any modern HD systems with quality results that won't send you out for any replacements.(Note: Cleaning kit is trivial and given all the conflicting handling instructions from TV manufacturers...)

5.0 out of 5 stars Serious value on superior cables, January 2, 2009

The HDMI cables in this kit are worth a minimum of $40 each. This kit contains 2 HDMI cables, a component cable, RCA audio cable, cleaner, and even a cleaning rag. The HDMI cables alone can compete with higher end cables selling for $80 and up--they have serious copper content, great connectors, and superior insulation. I have no immediate need for the component cable, but the RCA cable is propably the best I have used in 15 years. The cleaner and rag are nice to have when you first receive your LCD set.

If you hook up your audio and video with these cables, you will immediately be impressed with the improvements. Even the Dish Network installer was impressed. Wire Logic should be commended for the quality and price of this kit. I appreciate the staff at Amazon recommending this for me when I ordered my new high definition TV. Amazon always has the best deal.

This kit is a must if you are adding an HDTV. I only used one of the HDMI cables, but the other will be handy if I add an HD DVR later. All of the cables are top quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Learning curve., March 10, 2008
I've learned (the hard way) that you can't get the most out of your High-Def TV purchase without HDMI cables. I learned I needed more than the HDMI cables. I learned that I needed longer cables than I thought. I learned that you can't run just any old cable through the wall (legally). I learned that you need a higher quality cable (for some digital reason) for longer distances, for instance, when you want to mount the TV on the wall. And who doesn't. Mostly, I learned that this kit I never heard of before solved my dilemma.

Besides that, I was able to burn the ear off some guy on the toll free support line to get it all righ. All right!

Whoever you are, WireLogic. Thanks!

WireLogic HDTV Hook-Up Kit (2m Cables)Not knowing that much about the proper cables needed to hook up our new television and not wanting to pay over $100 for a cable, I purchased the WireLogic HDTV Hook-UP kit. This was great. It is color co-ordinated and matches the plug-ins on the TV. I would recommend this to anyone.

Works perfectly with my Sharp Aquos 42" 1080p TV, Playstation 3, and Comcast's DVR Receiver. Three pieces of high tech equipment all 'talking' to each other perfectly with just 2 HDMI cables. The quality of these cables is very clear and at such a great price... I love it!!!
