star lineup!, August 22, 2001
This is one of the best albums ever. one of the best bands ever too! The members of this band were at the time of this recording, and still are all popular bluegrass musicians. Scott Vestal is certainly one of the best banjo players in the world. Since then he has done several solo recordings as well as having his own band for a while. He now performs with former New Grass Revival member Joun Cowan. Robert Hale is one of my favorite singers having also served two different stints with Grammy Award winning banjo player J.D. Crowe. He now is the guitar player and singer with a hot new band called "WILDFIRE." Mandolin player Wayne Benson Is now a mainstay with award winning band IIrd Tyme Out, while bass player Ernie Sykes Has played with many bands such as Eddie Adcock,Reno's,Bluegrass Cardinals, as well as being the lasst bass player for legendary Bill Monroe. So these guys really know what they are doing! I not only recommend this project but anything else you can find featuring any of these guys. (I recommend the new WILDFIRE "Uncontained" CD featuring Robert Hale and the "Blugrass 2001" CD featuring Scott Vestal.)
