Not what I expected from Jabra,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 1 of Jabra Stone 2 Wireless Bluetooth Hands-Free Headset [AT&T Retail Packaging] (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I was very disappointed with the Jabra Stone 2. From looking at the marketing information I expected something that would fit the ear and provide excellent quality. What I got was a product that was constantly falling out of my ear or fit so poorly that I could barely hear the person calling. In order to hear anything I had to push the unit into my ear and of course, since there are controls on the surface of the unit it was easy to either disconnect or change the volume.I guess if your ear was an exact match for the one used to design the Stone 2 then the fit would be great. But if it isn't then $129.00 is an expensive lesson. I have subsequently purchased a Bose Bluetooth headset and it is perfect. The fit is tight and the ear-loop is very comfortable while still putting enough tension on the fit to make it secure. COsts more but worth it.

True Hands Free Communication...,

During my trip to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, a had a number of technologies in mind to see, but I really did not expect to be surprised by a company that I have done business with for years. While attending one of the CES press events, I came across the Jabra booth. Jabra is a vendor with which I am very well acquainted.Jabra produces headphones and wireless earpieces that my family cannot live without. Until I found the Jabra brand, I could not find headphones or an earpiece that actually fit inside my ear. The same is true for my son's dad. So when when we found Jabra, we have pretty much stayed with the brand for the past six years. At CES, I found out that Jabra has a brand new wireless bluetooth earpiece called the Jabra Stone 2. I am familiar with the original Jabra Stone product since my son's dad owes two of them. The original Jabra Stone and the Jabra Stone 2 look very similar with a only cosmetic differences. The earpieces are stylish and very light weight and when the earpieces are put inside their portable charges, the total units look like stones, hence the name of the products. But the Jabra Stone 2 had new features that set it apart from other bluetooth earpieces. Here is a list of the new features of the Jabra Stone 2 that my son's dad just LOVES since he is always on the phone using a bluetooth headset for his business: - Make calls using the sound of your voice (For Example, "Call FreeIsMyLife") - Answer an incoming call by simply saying "Answer" - Reject a call by saying "Ignore" - Hear the name of an incoming caller through the headset exactly how you programmed the caller into your phone - Have the headset actually say to you that it is paired with your phone. It says "Connect" - how easy is that. If you are driving, all these new features help you to keep your eyes on road and your hands on the steering wheel for a true hands free experience. The Jabra Stone 2 also has other features that we have not tried out like using 3rd party apps from the "Jabra World of Apps" to send a text messages or update a Facebook page by just using your voice. The only problem that we had with the Jabra Stone 2 is the same issue that we have with the original Jabra Stone and that is with actual talk being less than what is advertised. We have not been able to get 2 hours of talk time between charges. But that issue does not detract from the fact that this is a great product. The Jabra Stone 2 retails for $129 and works with any bluetooth enabled phone.

Need a Hand to Hold It to Your Ear & Died After 18 Months,
By Thomas M. Loarie (Danville, CA USA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: 1 of Jabra Stone 2 Wireless Bluetooth Hands-Free Headset [AT&T Retail Packaging] (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Initially, I was thrilled with my Jabra Stone (bought one for my wife as well) but the thrill diminished with time as I continually had trouble keeping it from sliding out of my ear when in use. When it failed while in conversation, I had to resort to one handed driving. I tried every ear plug provided and could not find one that worked well.More recently, my device has died. I am not sure if it is the charger or the earpiece. I have given up and have moved on to another device made by a competitor.
