The instructions on the package are quite simple if you take the time to read them. They say to have the docking device powered up and in iPod mode BEFORE you dock the iWave to it. It might take a few tries, but once you get it on and powered up it performs perfectly. This little gem has saved most of my docking devices - I have about 10 of them...Read more ›
I've turned mine in for return and so far, no hassles.
This device may work properly for other devices. I wouldn't know. It does not even power on for at least one advertised purpose. The description should be altered to match the capabilities of the device.
This device plug directly into the iPhone dock on Bose. It powers on automatically and looks for a device to pair to. I turn on my iPhone bluetooth, it shows up in the list of devices then asks for a pairing code which is "0000". It pairs quickly and your are done. I can now play my Pandora tunes from up to 15 feet away. And the sound very good. Not perfect, but very good. I found this for $12 on ebay from Hong Kong with 50 cents shipping - an amazing price for this device.
HERE'S what some of you early adopters need to know: old Series I Sounddocks supply firewire power to the wrong pin on the 30 pin connector, so these things WILL NOT WORK. Easy workaround - get a Scosche passPORT Charging Adapter for iPod and iPhone (Black) to adapt the dock to USB. Got one of those, plugged it in between, the bluetooth's LED blinked alertly to life and the music came pouring out.
It's nice to postpone gadget obsolescence (even your iPhone 5 will work with the old stuff). This tiny adapter rocks! Easy to use, cheap and reliable, once you get it working.
After reading negative reviews about not working on some Bose portable systems, I decided to give it a try due to its low price. I also have other ipod connectors in my car.
It worked the first time on Bose soundock portable without doing anything else than a simple pariing (the password is "0000", four zeroes in a row).
It also worked perfect on my car ipod connector, so now instead of hooking the ipod/iphone to the cable, I plug this wireless connector. It helps people on the back of the car to share the music as well on long trips.
Check out some of the pictures I posted here.
Hope this review helps on your decision.

This thing is great! We have an older Bose Sound Dock at our place in Costa Rica and was wanting to use it to play music from our phones. We were not disappointed.Published 11 days ago by P. Biggs
Stopped working after the second use. Despite placing my iPad and then iPhone right next to the receiver, it generated a staticky and choppy feedback via my Bose dock. Returned.Published 12 days ago by B.Flei
I love it. I bought my bose speaker system before blue tooth was the big thing or even before iphones, so this receiver was perfect for my system. Read morePublished 15 days ago by J. Rodriguez
