This item is giving me an additional 2 to 3 bars more signal which I think is very respectable. I live in a very rural area where cell phone signal can be very spotty. The booster certainly helped.

I had this product installed in my car. I travel through a area where I always loose my connection. I can not get any coverage for about 50 miles. This cut that loss to about 25 miles. I did not get the entire area but it was better than what I had before.

I drive in a large metro area and in the past always dropped calls in certain area's. With the YX230, the dropped calls have gone down in those area's. Solid product

For me this was a total waste. You have to run the wire of the antennas perfectly in order to get a green light. Turning it on and off like the manual said with the phone next to the internal antenna gave me nothing. It might be different for others but in my case this was a waste of $150 bucks.

Our company purchased this product to help boost our current signal. We work in parts of Wyoming, Colorado and Utah. The first time we installed this product we could not get the red light to turn green. The instructions did not come inside the package. I emailed Wi-Ex Tech support and they said to make sure the external antenna is on top of the vehicle and the amplifier at a different level. Come to find out, I had to go to the wi-ex website and print off the User Guide. In the user guide it says to turn off all cell phones before you power the unit on. I turned off my cell phone, turned on the booster, and the light turned green!

It does what it says, by "boosting" an existing signal inside your vehicle. If you don't have any signal, then 9 times out of 10 you wont see an increase in cell coverage. I had 2 bars before this booster, now I have 4. So I am happy that it works. I just didn't like the unit not coming with clear instructions on turning you cell phone off first! Now I have to descreetly tuck all these wires away so I don't have wires everywhere.

Hopefully this can be helpful for anyone looking at buying this product.

We installed the zBoost YX230 signal booster with the antenna on top of the roof of our truck, running the antenna wire in beside the CB antenna cable, then mounted the transmitting antenna into the cabin. We turned on the unit IAW the instructions, then turned on the cell phone. It does nothing to strengthen the signal in rural areas. We were unable to detect any discernible signal boost or better clarity in our cell phone usage no matter whether the unit was turned on or off. THIS UNIT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

We installed the zBoost YX230-PCS/CEL signal booster with the antenna on top of the roof of our motor home, running the antenna wire in beside the CB antenna cable, then mounted the transmitting antenna near the center of our RV. To make a long story short, it does nothing to strengthen the signal in rural Iowa, and seemingly did nothing in rural Wyoming, either. This unit is a complete waste of money, as far as we're concerned.

Where we spend our summers in NW Washington we get 1 or no bars. Some days we can place and receive calls, some not. All I wanted was a solid 1 bar. I had no change whatsoever. I Experimented with different places for the antenna, inside and out, nothing made a difference. I sent it back. In case you wonder, I spent 32 years in electronics, so I know a little bit. My purpose was to place it in our RV for when we are traveling. Obviously it would not be satisfactory for that either.
