Incomprehensible for beginners, not very useful for pros,
By A Customer
This review is from: Wireless Lans (Paperback)
This book is touted as an introduction to wireless communications for communications professionals. Beginners beware--this book reads more like an outline of notes for someone already in the know. I also cannot recommend the book to professionals because of the lack of clarity and correctness in the writing. If you're looking for information on actual products, you're also out of luck, as none are so much as mentioned in passing. However, you might get a laugh out of the canned clip art used for the illustrations. This book looks like it was slapped together haphazardly.

Not too good,
By A Customer
This review is from: Wireless Lans (Paperback)
I was not happy with this book. It seems too confusing as an introduction to wireless LANs, and not practical enough as an aid to experienced programmers and system implementers (which I am). I had bought the book as an aid in implementing wireless LANs, but the book really fell short.
