About the Author

George Aggelou, Prof. Dr., is currently a staff member of the Greek Ministry of Transport and Communications, Headquarters-General Directorate of Air Navigation, Electronics Division-Telecommunication FacilitiesSection. For 5 years, he was Assistant Professor of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Technology in Greece, and the Director of G-Alpha Telecomms, a company that builds next-generation wireless networks for enterprises and industry. Prof. Aggelou is also the co-founder of Mobile E-Commerce Technologies, Ltd., in London. He has been involved in the standardization of wireless networking for many years, first as a researcher at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in New York, and then as a team leader at Cisco Systems in London. He is also the author of the book Mobile Ad Hoc Networks: From Wireless LANs to 4G Networks, published by McGraw-Hill in 2004. Prof. Aggelou was the recipient of the London-based RACAL Prize for Research Excellence in 2000.
