This review is from: Wireless Networking Made Easy: Everything You Need to Know to Build Your Own PANs, LANs, and WANs (Paperback)
I bought this book to learn more about how to set up a wireless link from my office (no high speed data available) to my home (1.7 miles away, line of sight, with FIOS internet). The book says you can do this, and it's a good thing to do. No really useful advice or diagrams, discussions of antennae, regulations on amplification, extra encryption needed, etc.The book was a little more useful than telling a new poker player, "You gotta know when to hold 'em." |
