Great WIFI Replacement w/ Many Options,

This review is from: PLANEX Draft 11n Wireless LAN Notebook Card (Wi-fi Protected Setup) GW-NS300N Designed in Japan (Electronics)
I was dubious of this card actually working as the price was so low; however it surprised me and worked great! I installed on Windows 7 64-bit system. Once inserted into the computer, you will need to install the driver to get it to work. Also, beware there is a learning curve with this product. The connection wizard provided wasn't as easy to navigate as Windows, however it is manageable; they do provide you with a very detailed manual.Wireless signal is as strong as my integrated wireless card was (until it broke). Note: I agree with previous reviewer, it doesn't seem to be picking up my wireless N network and only picking up the dual channel wireless G network. (Although could be broadcasting issue). Best feature is the Link Status tab which displays information of multiple channel signal strength as well as wireless noise level in your area. Bottom Line: Cheap wireless card that gets the job done!

I bought this card in replace my laptop wifi card. This card works well with adapters B and G, I haven't tested yet on N adapter but the signal is bad. With this card I think you get what you paid, as I mentioned before, It works but not as you want. |
