4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job
It was cheap enough I thought I could experiment. The unit is well made and works almost as well as I could wish. Pros: it works fine (I haven't tried to see how far it actually does work). Cons: there is a two-stage shutter button, but no tactile feel for it. A green LED comes on when button is 1/2 way down, and red LED when all the way down. Which means you have to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Misleading
Before I purchased this product, I went to the Azlo website. They seemed reasonable and reliable. I recieved a package in Chinese from a product called Yongnuo. I thought I had recieved the wrong package and almost sent it right back, but decided to open it. The product inside had cheap Alzo stickers placed over the Yongnuo logo. I googled Yongnuo and found that I...

Cons: there is a two-stage shutter button, but no tactile feel for it. A green LED comes on when button is 1/2 way down, and red LED when all the way down. Which means you have to take your eye off the subject if you use the 1/2 setting to refocus, re-establish exposure, etc. Uses CR2 battery. Definitely better than cable release. Chinese manufacture.

I thought I had recieved the wrong package and almost sent it right back, but decided to open it. The product inside had cheap Alzo stickers placed over the Yongnuo logo. I googled Yongnuo and found that I could buy the Yongnuo wireless remote without the cheap Alzo sticker from several sites for an average of $14: half of the $28.00 I paid with Alzo. I know I shouldn't expect too much from a $28. product, but I also should not be expected to pay $28. for a $14. product. I'm sending it back and I will definitely stay away from Alzo - very misleading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Canon Rebel XSI Remote, March 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ALZO Wireless Radio Shutter Release 300 ft range for Canon Digital Rebel - incl. CANON EOS T2i, T1i, 450D, 400D, 350D, 300D, 300, 300V, 50E, 50, 33, 30 - NOT for CANON EOS PRO - by alzodigital.com (Electronics)
After reading some of the opinions here I was a little hesitant on purchasing, but gave it a shot. I am totally pleased with this product. No matter what setting I use on the camera, (TV, P etc.) the device works fine. Just don't use the remote setting in the camera menu. Works on single, bulb and drive mode flawlessly. Works through walls, around corners, and fits in the hand. I like it!
It would be nice to have a clip for the receiver to mount to the camera, but it's a minor issue.

I was pleasantly surprised to get my RSR early, and also to see what a great model this was. I was on a budget and worried that I had to settle for something mediocre, but not at all!!!! Excited.
