4.0 out of 5 stars Great Price and Easy to Use, July 8, 2006

Gian Luca Diana (Wyoming and Italy) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Wireless Technologies BT625 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I just received this Bluetooth Headset today to use with my new LG VX8300 cell phone and I've never used a Bluetooth device before. I'm pretty knowledgeable in computers so, with all the things I heard about Bluetooth device incompatibility I figured I would have to do a bit of trafficking before making it work. I read the small BT625 manual and it was very easy to follow. I set it away and charged my headset for 4 hours as recommended by the manual. Later on I went to my LG phone, I accessed the Bluetooth menu under Setup and chose Add New Device. It was all so straightforward that I didn't need to look at the headset manual again (and I haven't even read the phone manual yet). My cell phone recognized the BT625 right away and pairing it was a breeze. I used it a few times and it works greatly. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it doesn't like you to have your cell phone too far away (the manual claims 33 feet, but I get background noise after just 10 feet or so, closer than that the conversation is quite clear). The holder can be set to work on the left or right ear and this device is so lightly I'm wearing it now while writing this review and I can barely feel it.
For the distance factor, I guess I can't be too demanding since I bought it at Amazon for just $19.99 with free shipping when lots of BT headsets sell for $50 or more. Even if the price has gone up to $27.99 I think it's still a good value and probably this makes a first great headset for someone who's stepping into the world of Bluetooth.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too bad I can't give 0 stars., July 23, 2006
This review is from: Wireless Technologies BT625 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I recieved TWO of these from Amazon. I bought the first one and according to the owner's manual, intially, you have to charge it for 4 hours. Well, I charged it for a day and a half, and the indicator light that is supposed to shut off when its charged, never did. And, when unplugged, the headset would not turn on.

The second one was the replacement that was sent to me at no charge from Amazon. This one had the exact same problems as the first one.

Its frustrating to see all these positive reviews and wonder why those people got ones that worked. But this headset is 0-2 with me, and I will NOT be purchasing another one.

2.0 out of 5 stars not good, July 22, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wireless Technologies BT625 Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought this here and am returning it. It does ot stay on my ear. Perhaps I have excessively small ears...but I do not think that is the case. The way it hooks over is weird, and it is very hard to hear on. Try another, I have to pay return shipping, but Amazon is "deducting" it from my refund, this way they can zap me with a huge charge for returning it.
