The holster is very sleek and low profile and the phone is relatively secure when it's in place. However, I sat down in my car seat and the holster broke off between the clothes clip and the part that holds the phone. I like it, but it broke within the first two days I had it.

Then what seemed a flawed design suddenly became the most secure clip I have ever used. It's very easy to get the phone out and I have never had an accidental release. Just an instruction diagram on the front of the box would have made a world of difference.

As opposed to the other reviews posted here, this product works just fine! 5 STARS. It would be nice if instructions came with the product, but I found the key to using the holster is the front of the RAZR faces towards the belt clip, with the battery cover facing out. If you put the telephone in backwards it will seem as if the phone is ready to jump out of the holster at any second. Flip the phone around and you're good to go.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good basic RAZR Holder, September 3, 2005

This clip holder works very well under most conditions. I've never had any problems described by other reviewers, and have been using this now for about 6 months.

Very simple to put the phone into the holder, and there is a nice "click" feel to let you know its secure. To remove, simply depress the top part and pull up... phone comes right out into your hand. I've never had it come loose on its own, unless I didn't place it properly.

It does ride a little bit high on the belt, but I've not really found that to be a problem.

Overall, very satisfied with this holder.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for $10, August 9, 2005

I had a hard time finding a decent holster for the RAZR and this unit "fit the bill". After quite a bit of use, I've found the following:

1) The unit tends to swivel quite a bit without the wearer trying to move it.
2) It protrudes quite a bit above a belt and can get quite uncomfortable on plane rides. It's not bad in a car. I usually take it off for plane trips.
3) The fact that it keeps the face safe by facing inwards is a great feature.
4) The RAZR can be difficult to remove from the holster until you get the hang of it.

Overall, I like the unit. Most of the time, I just keep the RAZR in my pocket, but if I'm wearing tighter pants, it's handy to have the clip so it doesn't show through.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just Turn Your Phone Around!, May 6, 2006
This review is from: Wireless Technologies Ratcheting SwivelBelt Holster for Motorola RAZR V3 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I talked to the employee at the Cingular store about this design. It really is designed for the phone to be held in place with the battery cover facing out. This is to protect the glass screen on the front of the phone. If you put the Razr in the holster in this manner, it will be held quite securely. I tried turning it around, and just as people have been reporting, the phone did not fit right and tried to slip right out. I have been using this holster for a week now with no problems.

Great clip, holds very securely when phone is faced inwards. I've had it for about 6 weeks. The phone fell out of 2 previous "holders" but not this one. I only wish the phone (1) faced outwards and (2) could be opened without removing the clip. Then you could easily read the caller ID and the clip would be usually just part of the phone (Moto V60 was like this).

But for this price, I give it a 5/5 anyway (based on the criterion that if lost, I would buy it again immediately).

Put your RAZR in the holster backwards! After you get over the frustration of trying to force it in facing out, you will appreciate the design because it protects your RAZR's screen from accidentally getting bumped and cracked. Great holster. I also have mine in clear (which you can get for about $5 shipping included off of ebay) which also looks really cool

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, March 10, 2006
This review is from: Wireless Technologies Ratcheting SwivelBelt Holster for Motorola RAZR V3 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This product works really well. It's true - the people who complained about this phone clip probably are using it wrong. You have to put the phone in the clip with the outer screen towards your body. This protects the screen from scratches. If you try to put the phone in the holster with the screen away from your body, the phone won't stay in.

Overall it is a sturdy clip, very inexpensive. The one minor gripe that any police officer or EMT will complain about is that the belt clip, while large, is not large enough to fit onto a duty belt. Otherwise, excellent!
