better than motorola's own, May 12, 2005
This review is from: Wireless Technologies Universal Foam Case (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have a Motorola V551. Initially I bought the case made by Motorola. The phone frequently fell out of the case. A few times I didn't even notice that the phone had fallen out. I sometimes had to crawl under strangers' cars in parking lots to retrieve the phone. There was also a lesser problem with that case. Although the belt clip swiveled, allowing avoidance of the antenna stabbing me, the clip itself protruded and stabbed me. It was really quite uncomfortable to wear.
This case holds the phone snuggly and securely. It is completely comfortable to wear. The only problem is sometimes it holds the phone too securely. I can have some difficulty removing the phone to answer a call. The 551 is a bluetooth phone. Once I have a bluetooth earbud I will be able to bypass this problem. Another very minor issue is that I have to remove the phone from the case to charge the battery.
Overall this is a very good case and is vastly superior to the case produced by the manufacturer of the phone.

Mr. Cellphone... Meet Mr. Sidewalk!, August 12, 2005
This review is from: Wireless Technologies Universal Foam Case (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I can't believe I'm reviewing the same product that has received such positive remarks from others. My cell phone is as safe in this case as a bar of wet bath soap is secure in your hand. I have a popular "clam-shell" style phone and this case squeezes it up and out just like a wet bar of soap. Every move you make, getting out of the car, sitting down, bending over, the phone is inching its way out of the case. And within an hour or two - bam! You're picking up the phone, and perhaps the battery, off the ground.
Maybe you have a different shape phone that will stay secure in this case, but if it's a clam-shell or simularly tapered model, prepare for this case to throw it to the ground at least once a day!

Not the best case for an Audiovox 8910, January 18, 2005
This review is from: Wireless Technologies Universal Foam Case (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought this case for my Audiovox 8910 flip phone. I wanted a protective case with a swivel clip that would allow me to wear the phone horizontally, a more comfortable position for me while driving (who needs an antenna poking 'em in the belly).
First time I put the phone into the case, I noticed it didn't hold the phone as tightly as I would have liked. Then, unknown to me, the clip didn't hold onto my belt very well and the top of the case was angled slightly toward the ground. Next thing I know, the phone falls on the sidewalk while I was walking. I now only use the case upright, so that the phone is vertical. I'm also very careful to push the phone down as far as possible to make sure it's securely held.
One other minor annoyance: the camera button on the left side of the phone is exposed while in the case, and a couple of times the camera function has been accidentally activated because somehow the button got pushed. I'm now looking for a better case for my needs.
Otherwise, the case is well-made and provides decent protection to the phone, assuming it doesn't fall out!
