This book should be listed as a must read in middle school, then again in high school.

I am surprised this book is not VASTLY more popular. It is the original conversation between Andrew Carnegie and Napoleon Hill. It is in interview format and far shorter than Hill's other works. I immensely enjoyed hearing the words "from the horses mouth". I found it fascinating that Hill was actually given the 17 Principles of Success before his 20 years of research.

I require anyone who works for me to read this book before seeing any of my clients. The chapter about going extra mile is worth the price of the book by itself. The only weak point of the book are the last 2 chapters, which were penned entirely by Hill. I have read all the books from Hill, and this one is by far my favorite. The Laws of Success comes a close second, but is WAY longer.

Do yourself a favor and hear "How to Raise Your Own Salary" directly from Andrew Carnegie himself!

This is a must read for anyone looking to be successful in business. It is the foundation that "Think and Grow Rich" was based on. The seventeen principals are the basics everyone needs, but they are complex and it takes reading more than once to really absorb it all.

Absolutely great book! "Andra" has the wisdom and

Hill has the skill to write it down in an interview form.

This book should be listed as a must read in middle school, then again in high school. Every parent should ready this book to their children as a bedtime story. I believe this is what our country needs to become financial strong again.

As others have stated, this book is required reading in one's life. Information to earn a successful living, how to get along with others, raise self-esteem, have a happy and successful marriage, and why so many educated people are not that successful yet others with little education are rich beyond imagination, this is a book that must be read many times to understand its full message.

This is based on a personal interview Napoleon Hill had with Andrew Carnegie in detail. This is one of many books written by Napoleon Hill on the subject of gaining wealth, but it is different because it is the conversation between the two men, with Hill asking the questions, as a novice, and Carnegie giving the detailed responses of why, what, how, where and when.

Having purchased this along with "Think and Grow Rich", and "The Law of Success", each of them is useful and has its place, like using all of them to keep you focused on what you want to achieve. Keep your mind focused on your goals and anything is possible. It's about thinking, working, living, and acting smart. Focusing on your long term goals, as opposed to struggling everyday to just keep your head above water. Once you make a practice of thinking smart, asking yourself what habits you need to change, taking responsibility for what you are doing or not doing, then you change and your life changes. This is what Andrew Carnegie's conversation is all about, going all the way back to the early 1900's, when discipline was the rule of the day, if you wanted to get ahead. Thinking smart, living smart, acting smart, doing smart.

It is a wonderful book with an even greater idea. I read the original hardcover edition of this book which was under a different name, and the thing that struck me about it was how Andrew Carnegie gave him a minute or less to make the decision and over twenty or thirty years to carry it out. This idea has stuck with me all of these years, and has not dimmed in my mind even with reading this version of it. I highly recommend this book.

This book provides the origins of principals that were shared in a few great conversations that Andrew Carnegie had with a young Journalist, Napoleon Hill. You'll read Nap's other books with new eyes and a new understanding of the principals while engaging in the conversation these two had together. It's a phenomenal resource for anyone sharpening their skills and raising their vibrations, especially in human relations & leadership. I'll read this book over & over & over again as I have and continue to experience new cognitions & realizations every time I revisit the conversation. So if you seek more knowledge to reveal what you already knew instinctively but don't apply it to your own life; then take the journey with Nap & Carnegie a road map to success, happiness & wealth will be given you. It's a great idea to read this book with you spouse, partner & other Master Mind group members so your vibrations sync-up with infinite intelligence ;-). As you know, "Your wish is your command," now ... The GIANT within you is awaiting to be released and bring you what you love & prefer in this life's experience ... May all of your dreams come true my friend! With brotherly & sisterly love I highly recommend this book for all seeking light & love. All the best, Al B.
