If you are curious about Kabbalah, this is a great starter "kit". A little bit of everything to give you a taste of what Kabbalah has to offer. This would make a nice gift.

4.0 out of 5 stars If Someone is Suffering, don't send a card..., December 21, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Wisdom Box: Kabbalah: Technology for the Soul (Four Book Box Set) (Hardcover)
I send The Wisdom Box instead of platitudes. Kabbalah is so loaded now. Is it a cult? Is it a trend? If empty-headed celebs are pimping it, then can it really be for reals? Every time a celeb aligns themselves with a cause it becomes suspect. But really, Kabbalah isn't a religion, a cult or even a form of spirituality; really, it's a behavior modification, a `technology of the soul'. So if someone is suffering then this is my `go to' gift. This little box is maybe $20, if they hate it and toss it in the trash then it's no big loss. But if they use it, well.
It includes several small books, high quality and easy to read, that give you quick injections of Kabbalistic wisdom just to sort of inspire, encourage and change your perceptions.
The Red String Book (along with a packet of Red String) is included and this is very important, at least to me, as this provides instant protection from the negativity that surrounds people who find themselves in postions of suffering. I know, I know, it seems obtuse to wear a string around your left wrist for protection but even if all it does is make you feel connected and protected to a higher source then it's worth it's weight in gold.
Life is hard, if you've got a better way to get through it then by all means, work it. But for me, this is good. And I've seen a lot of people work Kabbalah and change.
