In "Wisdom for the BusyLeader," former San Francisco Forty-Niner team chaplain (1981-1998) Pat Richie has compiled 250 devotions he has developed and distributed via email to NFL coaches and administrators since 2000. His mailing list has been expanded to over 500 leaders from all walks of life via word-of-mouth walks of life who have requested to be added. Weekly readers include such nationally known and diverse leaders like Mike Holmgren (Seattle SeaHawks), Leslie Ferrell (VeggieTales), Andre DelBecq, PhD (Chairman Emeritus, School of Business, University of Santa Clara), and Kevin Compton (Kleiner Perkins).

There is a good reason for the viral growth of Richie's weekly reflections. They contain simple, biblically based, wisdom written to instruct and remind readers - all in 60 seconds or less! An example is page 16, `Winter':
